We Get High

Sit back, watch how I let, I let it roll off, yeah
Days go bad, that's just how they get
Now add them all up, yeah
Feel good now, chin up and move by
Sometimes is nothing right
So when we get low
And we don't know how it goes
No one at our show
Our money's been getting tight
But when we get low
Woah, we get high, ha-ha-ha
I'm looking for the light at the end of the night
I light a match and watch it all burn down
Can't always be a good one
Everyone knows one
Where everything start going south, yeah
Feel good now, chin up and move by
Sometimes is nothing right
So when we get low
Woah, we get high
And we don't know how it goes
No one at our show
Our money's been getting tight
But when we get low
Woah, we get high, ha-ha-ha
Sit back, watch how I let, I let it roll off, yeah
Days go bad, that's just how they get
Now add them all up, yeah
Feel good now, chin up and move by
Sometimes is nothing right
So when we get low
Woah, we get high
And we get high
And we get high, oh-oh-oh
We get high
And we get high, we get
Woah, we get high, ha-ha-ha
Haha, skrr
Ashe's song "We Get High" explores the idea of finding positivity and inspiration even amidst difficult and trying times. The lyrics start by acknowledging that there are bad days and tough times that will come our way, but instruct the listener to let those moments roll off them and try not to dwell on them. The chorus emphasizes the idea that when things get low and tough, the only thing to do is to find a way to get high, either through positive energy, creativity, or whatever works for the individual.
The lyrics provide a message of hope and empowerment, presenting the idea that we have control over our emotions and reactions to difficult situations. It also touches on the idea of pursuing one's passion or artistry even when faced with financial difficulties or lack of support from others. The line "No one at our show" could be interpreted as performing to a small or empty crowd, yet still persevering and finding joy in the music, which is a relatable experience for many aspiring artists.
In the second half of the song, the lyrics highlight the search for positivity even in the darkest of times. The light at the end of the night represents the hope of finding a way out of a difficult situation or mindset. The bridge of the song reinforces the idea that tough times happen to everyone, and sometimes it's okay to let things burn down and start fresh.
Overall, "We Get High" is a powerful and uplifting song that resonates with many people. The lyrics remind the listener that even when things look bleak, there is always a way to find positivity and inspiration.
