O-Town
During the production of the reality show that gave birth to O-Town, Making the Band, many of Ashley's co-workers considered him perfect for the role of a boy band member, as a result of his passion, enthusiasm, talent, and boyish good looks. He is often considered the group's heartthrob.
O-Town went on to sell over 5.6 million albums worldwide. However, the popularity of the group never approached the success of other bands in their genre. Once Making the Band had finished its television run, O-Town floundered. The members signed numerous contracts, many that didn't benefit them. Ashley, like other members of the band, was left without financial security, despite wide-spread media exposure. O-Town disbanded in 2003.
Solo Work
Angel is starred in a new MTV reality series There and Back, and produced his first solo album. The show chronicles his efforts to re-launch his career and support his new family. The theme song to the show is Soundtrack to Your Life, a song that was going to be on the new album. The song is being produced by The Matrix following the firing of Soul Power as producers. The lyrics are: "Your life is, a flashback, a question, a photograph, a statement, a story, a struggle, a chance to laugh. Cause if you don't laugh, you cry, a last crescendo when you die, so hit the rewind and listen, to the playback, the soundtrack to your life.". In 2004, Ashley signed a solo deal with Blackground/Universal Records. His debut album was released on May 16, 2006.
The first single Let U Go made the Billboard top 20. He is also opening for Ashlee Simpson during her JuneβJuly 2006 tour. Joining him on this tour is Devin Bronson, who is best known for his guitar work with Kelly Osbourne and Avril Lavigne. Devin is currently playing lead guitar for Angel.
Solo Music
His first single "Let U Go" debuted on MTV's Total Request Live March 14, 2006, and on March 24 he reached #1. His solo debut album Soundtrack to Your Life was released on May 16, 2006. It debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top-200 Albums Chart, selling over 72,000 copies. It will be also in the 2006 FIFA World Cup video game. On April 1 2006, the song was the #1 on iTunes. For the week of April 29, 2006 "Let U Go" debuted at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ashley was also letting his fans vote which song he should release next on his MySpace page.

But you don't really mind
It's not the first time
And you know know it, don't you now
Tell me why it is
You only smile inside?
When you break me into nothing
It's not like
I haven't tried
Over and over again
Stupid fights
Wrong or right
Goodbye
I remember when
You came with me that night
You said forever
That you would never
Let me go
And here I am again
With nothing left inside
No I don't wanna
But I gotta
Let you go
You're my the one mistake
I really didn't mind
So beautiful
Unmerciful
It took me down
Too little and too late
See now I know your kind
You fake it easy
Just to please me
Don't you know?
It's not like
We haven't tried
Over and over again
Sleepless nights
Wrong or right
Goodbye
I remember when
You came with me that night
You said forever
That you would never
Let me go
And here I am again
With nothing left inside
No I don't wanna
But I gotta
Let you go
I gotta let you go
It's you
There's nothing I can do
Let me go
And here I am again
With nothing left inside
No I don't wanna
But I gotta
Let you go
In Ashley Parker Angel's song "Let You Go," the singer is expressing their frustration and pain towards a past lover who continually made broken promises. Despite the hurt caused by their actions, the singer acknowledges that the person doesn't seem to care or feel any remorse. The chorus speaks of the inevitability of having to let this person go, despite the love and attachment that remains. The singer remembers a night, likely from the beginning of the relationship, where the person promised to never let them go, but that promise has been broken.
The second verse emphasizes the pain caused by the lover's actions, calling them "unmerciful." The singer recognizes their mistake in getting involved with this person, but also acknowledges that they were a mistake they didn't mind making. They are frustrated that this person could fake a love just to please them, and ultimately, they have reached the end of their rope. The final repetition of "let me go" asserts the singer's decision to move on from this toxicity, despite their feelings.
Overall, the song conveys a sense of resignation and acceptance while still acknowledging the pain of letting go. The cyclical nature of the lyrics ("over and over again," "you said forever") emphasizes the repeated disappointments that led to the singer's decision to end things.

Unfortunately this is on Blackground label which will not release music. Aaliyah's uncle does not want to for whatever reason :( JoJo had to wait 6+ years to release new music. She even had to rerecord her hits
