Ask Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Askatasuna vamos a gritar
La libertad ya es real!!!!
Tu vas a caer y vas a correr,
The lyrics to Ask's song "ASK" speak to the struggle for freedom and liberation. The first verse acknowledges the common pursuit for something that can aid in survival, but highlights the existence of someone who will prevent that goal from being achieved. The chorus speaks directly to that oppressor, insisting that the oppressed people desire and deserve freedom, and that their cries for it will not be silenced.
The second verse calls out the obliviousness and self-interest of those in power. The bridge emphasizes the inevitability of retribution for their actions. The song concludes with a call to action, urging the people not to run away from the fight, but rather to assist in the struggle for liberation.
