I rocked out to this song countless times back in high school and over 11 years after graduation it still is so cool and energetic. It brings a sense of nostalgia to simpler times. Where I was the raver kid that danced around the city on the weekends with my mp3. Getting invited to parties and offered free pints of beer and free weed sometimes. (Tall Boys 16. Oz) So many memories, listening to this on the way back from a Debate trip on the middle of the night on the school bus. Lunch time was the only time we were allowed to use our mp3's in the commons because the cafeteria was same area they used to staging plays and having school functions. So I took the time to wolf down my food and if it was Thursday or Friday I got up and danced for the people in the cafeteria (I was allowed to, no faculty picked at it or said anything so it must have been fine as long as I was not being destructive or cause a ruckus, which I wasn't.) My ear buds were in and I never spoke to any one at lunch time. Too busy practicing my Industrial and developing my own interpretive dance so to say.

No, it's just a fashion thing, don't know where or when it started but the gas mask is just one of the icons of industrial music.

@xynec You can get the gasmask looking things from a shop in Camden/London called Cyberdog. Infact alot of their clothing, and accessories will have a link to this kind of music. For those who have been they will know what i'm on about :P Especially if you've been downstairs ;) But that's not to do with the topic i'm on about haha, Anyway check the Cyberdog website, it's pretty expensive stuff...But brilliant and it's their own things :P

'Techno' is also a very specific genre, such as Frenchtekk (Cardiak, Radium etc.), tekk-house, tekkcore etc. This is dark electro with distorted vocals, and the group choose to define themselves as 'cyber-gothic'; nothing to do with the music genre.
