There's just so much that I have learned through getting burned
I've gained a lot of knowledge through my past mistakes and failures.

Looks like I'm due for some change but it looks like you could used the same
I need to make some changes in my life, and so could you.

So I'm trying to restart my day, everyday in every way
I'm making an effort to start fresh every day and improve in every aspect of my life.

Feels like I'm caught in a routine, it feels like the world's got the best of me
I feel stuck in a monotonous cycle, and the challenges of the world are weighing me down.

And when I'm feeling all alone, cause nothing is as good as home
When I'm lonely, nothing can replace the comfort and familiarity of being at home.

What point have I missed, I must have passed my exit
I've lost my way and missed an opportunity for change.

A million miles ago, a thousand times or so I said I'd change
I've made promises to change in the past but haven't followed through.

But I know that I will always be this way
Despite my efforts, I know that I'll always have certain flaws and struggles.

Hey! I'm all I can be, I'm me on a daily basis
I'm doing the best I can and being true to myself every day.

Like it or not, take it or leave
Whether others accept me or not, I will always be myself.

The good with the bad, but not good enough for me
I accept both the positive and negative aspects of myself, but I'm striving for self-improvement.

I'm waking up and I can't feel my head
I'm waking up after a wild night and feeling the aftermath.

Last night must have been a good time
I must have had a great time last night.

I don't know what I did or I said, I guess in the end it is what it is but
I can't remember the details of what happened, but I accept the consequences.

But if there's one thing I know, it's nothing is as good as gold
I know that nothing is more valuable than being true to myself and striving for self-improvement.

It's a fight I may not win, but I'll never give up trying til I see home again
Self-improvement is a difficult battle, but I won't give up until I feel at peace with myself.

This will not be the end of who I am, this is where the me begins, the me begins
My past mistakes and struggles don't define me, and I'm starting a new chapter of self-improvement.
