The band consists Astrie Kharismadewi (Vocal, Acoustic, Synthesizer), Bagus W. Isattama (Guitar, Backing Vocal), Adi Luhung (Drums), Ukooy Kurniawan (Bass) and Andreas Nandiwardhana (Add.Player for guitar).
At first, Astree and the Leaves known as a semi unplugged band leaded by Astrie (Vocal, Acoustic) and Bagus (Electric Guitar). They played easy listening songs written by Astrie and a lot of hits song from the band like The Calling, Foo Fighters, U2, radiohead, /rif (Indonesia), in acoustic version. They made their first show at Potluck Cafe, Bandung at 14th February, 2007.
But 3 months later, both Astrie and Bagus realized that the latest form of Astree and the Leaves isn't enough to make a great live performance, too much boundaries and lack of harmony. So, they agreed to change the band's form, from duo into a full band.
In the middle of June, 2007, Astree and the Leaves became a real full band after Bagus recruiting his former band (Nicenoise,2002) mates. Adi Luhung (Drums), Andika Pradana (Bass) and Isa Adrianto (guitar). That was the beginning of Astree and the Leaves's new born, from semi unplugged into semi electronic pop/alternative band.
On their live performance, they usually play hits songs from The Killers, U2, Angels and Airwaves, Paramore and many others, in remix version. Also their own songs such as Hey!, Etre Aime, Green Shade, Confessed (coming up next: The Finest Distance, You're There,Winning Loser, I can't heal, Ujung Dunia, and many others). Their music being directed by Magi (Drummer of /rif) especially for Hey!, Etre Aime, Green Shade, You're There and Ujung dunia.
In the beginning of 2008, Andika and Isa decided to quit the band, replaced by Ukooy (Bass) and Andre (Sekapur Sirih's guitarist) until now.
Astree and The Leaves now still working with their demo, performing to introduce their music and of course, get a record deal.
They want to share a light and easy music without boundaries, coz' your ears may bring your own definition.

It was a long walk to him and there were several "lifes" I had without him. But I would like to walk the path again if only I could hope to meet him again.
