Clash With Reality
Clash With Reality
=============================
Sometimes I know
I feel untouchable
Caught up in the accessible
Back down the ground
I hear the sound
There′s no escape
The concrete cloud
Spilling on me
Drenching me with
Laymen's sins
I hear the sirens
From the back of me
I′m crashing face first
Into the glass eye
Clash with reality
It rears it's ugly head
Clash with reality
The indescribable
Let the dogs lie
Where we sleep
Irrelevant theme
A situation and there's
Nothing but right
In kicks the door
Nobody moves
′Cause in walks the problem
Dictates your fate
Evicts, convicts
Who′ll sign the writ of life?
This now becomes
Their morbid game
Who's piss poor excuse
Is this for a world?
It swells my hatred
Day by day
Clash with reality
It rears it′s ugly head
Clash with reality
The indescribable
Let the dogs lie
Where we sleep
Irrelevant theme
The song "Scientific Reality" by Astrix and Atomic Pulse is an energetic trance track with a deep message. However, the lyrics don't actually appear in the song as they are an excerpt from Pantera's "Clash With Reality." The lyrics describe the feeling of being overwhelmed by the pressures of daily life and the struggles that come with it. The opening lines "Sometimes I know I feel untouchable" suggest a feeling of superiority that is quickly undermined by the following lines, "Drowning in life, caught up in the accessible." The lyrics then describe a sense of helplessness as the concrete cloud spills on the singer, drenching them with laymen's sins, and the sirens in the back of their mind signal a crash with reality.
The second verse describes a situation where the problem walks through the door and dictates the singer's fate. There's a sense of inevitability as they're evicted and convicted, and the question is raised, "Who'll sign the writ of life?" The lyrics then refer to the piss-poor excuse for this world and how it swells the singer's hatred day by day. The chorus repeats the phrase "Clash with reality" and "let the dogs lie where we sleep," suggesting a resignation to the cruelty of life.
Overall, the lyrics of "Scientific Reality" touch on themes of struggles, helplessness, and adversity, eliciting a feeling of catharsis in the listener.
