Ciervos
Astro Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

A e o

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Astro's song Ciervos depict the desire to run wild and free, to shed the limitations of mundane existence and embrace a spiritual, transcendent experience. The imagery of becoming a deer or a flower, and then transforming into a deity, suggests a longing for a deeper connection with the natural world and the divine. The idea of running with closed eyes reinforces the notion of letting go of inhibitions and trusting in the universe to guide one's journey. The mention of Vishnu, a Hindu god associated with preservation and protection, further emphasizes this surrender and reliance on higher powers.

The repetition of the phrase "aeo" throughout the song adds to its hypnotic, trance-like quality, further emphasizing the idea of transcending earthly boundaries. The mention of bears, cows, rocks, fruits, and trees suggests a connection with nature and a desire to merge with it, to become part of the larger cosmic tapestry. Overall, the lyrics to Ciervos suggest a longing for a more profound, meaningful existence, and a willingness to surrender oneself to the unknown forces of the universe.

Astro's 2011 album was probably one of the most funnest/original albums in the Spanish languge in all of the 2010s.
Javiera Mean Esquiemas Juveniles (2005) is by far and hands down the best Spanish language album of the 2000s.
While Colombia was doing cumbias-raps , Mexico was degenerating in Narco corrido music, Spain was stuck in slow balads,Argentina was stuck in the 90s. The Chilean POP scene of 2010 defined a generation.
