Very doubtful concerning zooms but after your review, and the mention of price, decided to give it a go and purchased the 21 to 7mm. Used it last night with a Startravel 80. Very impressed, particularly as I did not have to alter focus going through the range. Colours seemed o.k. as well when swapping with a 21mm Baader Hyperion. With a 2x barlow impression was the same. It will come in handy for doubles and planets on my 200mm reflector. Always a bonus to think money has not been wasted. Without your review I would be none the wiser. Thank you indeed.

Good review Ruz, I enjoy watching your channel! I'm more of a visual guy myself who enjoys taking images now and then. Personally I like the prime (fixed focal length) eyepieces because they are lighter and have much wider field of view. The Svbony red line EPs are almost 70 degrees and individually smaller, lighter and under £30 each.

AstroFarsography

Thank you Zarkuon, I'm glad you enjoy my content. I don't think I have many mainly visual users who watch my content especially as it's mainly geared towards photograph. Agree primes have a big place to be, lighter and such so I can imagine as a visual yser the SV171 isn't exactly up your alley?

What Matters Most

Honest and a good review Ruzeen! I would add that with a single focal eyepiece you will not only get a bit sharper image but batter contrast as well, but for $60 US it's just 1 eyepiece to carry around . Over SvBony don't make the highest quality products but usually for the money and for a newbe or a semi user a very good products at lower cost.

AstroFarsography

Thank you Christopher. Yes that's what I think is a beneficial and gold thing about SVBony. They make (what I reckon) is decent gear at a good price point for the beginner fleshing out their initial toolkit

Hi Ruz great video and nice to see you working on the SvBony product; underexposed in the UK & US reviews. This looks to be a nice product, but I think it lacks the T-adapter option, I would find that useful for FOV control on my DSLR I primarily use with my Altair Starwave 80ED. I have the SvBony 305, and their helical focuser on my SCT (SE 6) these are good products too.

AstroFarsography

Thanks Tony. Yeah it's nice using SVBony stuff cus I think they position themselves in a decent market area and are somewhat underexposed. I remember when I first encountered them I couldn't find any reviews or content on them

Great review Ruz! Looks like a nice zoom eyepiece, not parfocal I guess based on what you said about refocusing after changing zoom. Just a quick question - does it have threads for attaching to a t-adaptor under the rubber sheath at the viewing end? The comparable celestron zoom does and it is a really useful feature to have.

AstroFarsography

Thanks mate. It is nice yes but not parfocal. As for the eyecup I didn't notice in my time but I also wasn't in the business of peeling bits back. I'll have a look at sometime tomorrow if I remember and get back to you

I keep a celestron zoom eyepiece on my refractor. it's great for the moon. I think svbony make affordable and yet decent products so I would buy that eyepiece if I didn't have one.
It's nice to have a selection of prime eyepieces but for a beginner or for occasional astronomy a zoom eyepiece is ideal as long as you don't mind refocusing a little.
