A sense of purpose can conquer pain
Having a purpose helps to endure through pain and difficulties.

And heartfelt values will stand the test of time
Values that come from the heart will stand strong over time.

Learning to live without the smallest sense of purpose
Living without any purpose, no matter how small, is a difficult and unfulfilling life.

Growing up just trying to escape
Youth may try to escape their current situation without regard for creating a better future.

Born from inhibition, and caught in stagnancy
Youth may feel trapped by fear and unable to move forward, causing a sense of unprogressiveness.

Look beyond their hatred
Avoiding hate and negativity of others is important to move towards positivity and change.

How long will they hold us down?
It is unknown how long others will try to bring us down, but we must remain resilient.

Through pressure and pain I've stayed the course
I have withstood hardship and challenges while maintaining my path.

For desire alone has brought me better days
It is my impassioned drive that has led me towards positivity and better outcomes.

Well I've felt so weak and out of place
I have experienced vulnerability and displacement.

I have participated in negative behavior set forth by others.
