1) Ataraxia was a pseudonym used by experimental electronic musician Mort Garson only on his 1975 album "The Unexplained: Electronic Musical Impressions of the Occult".
2) Ataraxia, formed in 1985, is a neofolk / neoclassical band from Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, that combines modern technology with archaic instrumentation over various media. They describe their music as a cross "between sacred and profane, ethereal and neoclassic, contemporary and early music." Their work has often involved research into European legends and Classical mythology. Contemplation, dreamy experiences, elegiac atmospheres, ritual movements float in a mysterious garden where contemporary textures of notes meet the embracing echo of classic sounds. Their lyrics are written in many ancient and contemporary languages (such as Latin, French, German, English, and their native Italian) as they try to bring to the surface the hidden treasures and revelations of each. Many of their performances take place in locations the band professes to possess specific spiritual qualities. Since their beginnings in the late 1980s, they have recorded over 20 original LPs every one presenting its own original concept. To name just a few, La Malédiction d'Ondine (1995) deals with female spirits of water and earth; while “Llyr” (2010) tells the story of a divine being traveling through times and forms. Their last work Quasar (2020) is dedicated to 7 archangelic archetypes.
Some of their earlier long sold-out albums have been recently re-released with numerous bonus-tracks.

acta est fabula
omnia sub leges mors vocat atra suas
ad perpetuam rei memoriam
mors acerba aut mori in tormentis
morsi sibi consiscere
mors ultima ratio
animus ad corpore se abstrahit
The lyrics of Ataraxia's song Satis Vixi explores the theme of death and the transience of life. The opening lines "Satis vixi sine causa, acta est fabula" translate to "I have lived enough without reason, it's all been a performance." The singer suggests that life is meaningless and that they have lived their life without a clear purpose or direction. In the next lines, "omnia sub leges mors vocat atra suas," the singer suggests that death is an inevitability that rules over everything and claims all in its time. It is a powerful and relentless force that cannot be avoided.
The following lines, "ad perpetuam rei memoriam, mors acerba aut mori in tormentis, morsi sibi consiscere, mors ultima ratio, animus ad corpore se abstrahit," further describe the singer's meditation on death. They seem to suggest that death is a chance to leave a lasting legacy, although it is often painful and torturous. The singer also considers the concept of suicide as an ultimate escape from life's pain, but acknowledges that it is not often a painless or easy death. Finally, the singer suggests that the soul or spirit departs the body at the moment of death.
Overall, Ataraxia's Satis Vixi is a powerful meditation on death and the transience of life. The lyrics suggest that life is often meaningless and without purpose, and that death is an inevitability that claims all in its time. The singer expresses a range of emotions in coming to terms with this reality, including a sense of acceptance, pain, and even release.

No puedo creerlo, mi canción preciosísima. Aunque no me guste la foto de tanta catedral/iglesia, sigue siendo una belleza inexpresable escuchar la voz de Francesca y poderla unir a sus imágenes.
