Formed in 1995 with the original line up of Sean, Jo and J (Vocals) they released the Pleasure of Sin in 1996. Due to contractual issues they members formed went on to form Torturetekk in 1999 releasing the album R.I.P. in 2000. Up to 2003 the band were working on new material under the athamay name again (demo versions released as a dj only cdr, Torture technology). Due to personal issues this never progressed any further. Since 2019 new materiel has been in production with Athamay reverting to a duo.
