One Million
Athlete Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

There was just one at the top of a pile of one million
And she hasn't got a clue that she's become
A good Samaritan
I missed her name before I blink from the scene she'd run away
If I got the chance to meet her once again
What would I hear her say?
It was just one of those things I needed to deal with
It was just one of those things
It was just one of those things I needed to deal with

There was just one at the top of a pile of one million
And there's no way of counting all our loss
What was I thinking of?
As it kicks off I kept myself to myself and looked away
Should've put my foot in but I just stayed
Wrapped up in my own world

It was just one of those things I needed to deal with
It was just one of those things
It was just one of those things I needed to deal with

There was just one at the top of a pile of one million
And she will be there for many years to come
Wondering where I am

It was just one of those things I needed to deal with
It was just one of those things
It was just one of those things that I should've dealt with
It was just one of those things

(this was just one of those things I needed to deal with
This was just one of those things
This was just one of those things I needed to deal with
This was just one of those things)

(this is just one of those things I needed to deal with
This is just one of those things)

Am I the only one on the planet who thinks this is their best album (by FAR)?

Prisoner42

I listened to this song while I was on the beach with my family, then while I was in the country with my other family, this song reminds me of orange ice cream, good memories

Brings back memories of my childhood journeys in the car...

@catfacechimp I was always more of a fan of Tourist tbh. Vehicles and Animals was a very good album, and for a while was my favourite. I dont think I got Tourist to start with, but i sat down for an hour, properly immersed myself in it and enjoyed it much more. Agreed Beyond The neighbourhood wasn't a worldbeater, but it was ok. And Black Swan seems interesting
