1994 was the year Rio Black and Dr. Mole, the creative center for Atomic Neon, first made music together. In the fall of 2006, after forming the synthpop project Spunk2003, Black and Mole searched for a live guitarist to help. The project was reinvented and songs were reconstructed into the band Atomic Neon.

New World
Atomic Neon Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
New in a new world
THe cold breeze
On my skin
No one is here
No one can hear me
But somethings behind
Eyes without heads
A new world
And no one is here
The new world
The future is dead
My soul
My head is broken
I can't run
Creeping into dark
No hope
And no one helps me
But I feel the blazes
Falling into hell
A new world
And no one is here
The new world
The future is dead
The lyrics to Atomic Neon's song "New World" express the feelings of fear, isolation, and hopelessness that one might experience when faced with a new and unfamiliar situation. The singer is scared as they navigate through this new world, feeling the cold breeze on their skin and sensing that something ominous and threatening is lurking behind them. They are completely alone in this new environment, and no one can hear them or offer any assistance. Even worse, the future seems to be dead, offering no hope or promise of better things to come.
The singer's soul and head are broken, indicating a deep psychological distress that is only compounded by the absence of other people. They feel as though they are creeping into the dark, with no direction or guidance to steer them towards safety. Despite this, they are somehow able to sense the blazes of danger that surround them, which only further adds to their sense of impending doom. Ultimately, they feel as though they are falling into hell, unable to escape the new world that has enveloped them.
Overall, the lyrics of "New World" are a haunting and poignant reminder of the difficulties that can arise when one is forced to confront the unknown. The sense of isolation and helplessness that is conveyed is palpable, and the depiction of a future that is dead and devoid of hope is a stark and jarring contrast to the expectations and aspirations that we often hold for ourselves.
