AtriA is a Persian technical/melodic death metal band formed in 2007 by Amirshahab Kh in Tehran. After a while another guitarist and also a bassist joined the band. After a number of lineup changes the band chose its genre. They started by covering songs from bands including Iron Maiden, Slayer and Megadeth, to name but a few. The band recorded its debut album called βSound Of Atriaβ in 2010 which was released in the Aug 16th of the same year.

Atria was first formed in the year 2001, by Daphne Gerogianni (lyrics, voice) and Iraklis Anastasiadis (composing, arranging).
Their name was taken by a navigation star, atria is the brightest star of the three that form the Triangulum Australe constellation (Southern Triangle).
They released 2 singles, "Ta Pedia Tis Polis" (2001) β "Man in Motion" (2004), and one album "Ime Kardia" (2003), and have participated in various Greek compilations.
They did quite a few live performances and openings for bands like: The Stereo Mcs, Pet Shop Boys, Marc Almond, Anne Clark, Hooverphonic and The Scissor Sisters.
Somewhere along the way, the band split up in two, taking different directions. In the year 2009, atria is reforming...

The lyrics of Atria's song "The Game" depict the unraveling of an individual's blind faith in a charismatic leader, whom they have viewed as a sage with unflinching faith. Initially, the person speaks highly of the sage, admiring them for their ability to inspire millions with their sermons and empower them to find freedom. However, as the song progresses, the individual begins to question the sage's authenticity, pointing out that their faith has become dead, and they have started to indulge in their power, making even the children lick their feet. The individual then implores the sage to open their eyes and see the sufferings of their subjects, and how their polluted blood stains their hands. In the end, they accuse the sage of being a blind, foolish leader who is going nowhere.
The whole song reflects on how people can blindly follow charismatic leaders with an unwavering faith that is eventually proven to be misguided. Initially, the person is enchanted by the sage's charisma and saintliness, but over time, their blind faith is shattered when they realize the sage is not what they thought they were. The lyrics point out that there is no false in the sage's teachings and that every breath they take is saintly, but over time, the sage's authenticity is questionable. The fate of the sage eventually turns sour, leaving behind those who were only following them for their power.
