Dreaming
Aurora Lyrics

Am I really here?
If I told you something, would you even care?
Would you even dare?
So unexpected, this circumstance
I'm unconnected
Or could we take a chance?
I just ask myself
If I was dreaming
You'd see me
I'd be understood
But I'm just drowning
Going under
Wishing you'd say we could
But you just walk on by
I'm only dreaming
I'm only dreaming
And I just don't wanna, lose a moment
With the conversation hanging in the air
Oh tell me do you care?
I can walk on water
I just don't look down
I've got no intention of turning around
On another day, would it be this way?
I just ask myself
If I was dreaming
You'd see me
I'd be understood
But I'm just drowning
Going under
Wishing you'd say we could
But you just walk on by
I'm only dreaming
And it keeps on pulling
Something I did not see
I'm falling so suddenly
And I ask myself
And I ask myself
If I was dreaming
You'd see me
I'd be understood
But I'm just drowning
Going under
Wishing you'd say we could (Repeat x2)
But you just walk on by
I'm only dreaming
I'm only dreaming (Repeat x4)
The lyrics of Aurora's song, "Dreaming" convey a sense of unrequited love, and uncertainty about the other person's feelings in the relationship. The song opens up with the singer questioning the authenticity of her presence in front of the other person. She wonders if the person even cares about her, would they notice her if she is gone or if she is only a fleeting presence in the other person's life.
The lyrics go on to express the hope of the singer that the other person would reciprocate her feelings of deep love and start a conversation that can change everything about their relationship. The singer explicitly wishes that the other person would say "we could" and take a chance with her. However, the other person keeps walking away, and the singer is "drowning, going under" in a pool of unreturned love.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the singer's hopeful fantasy of the other person finally understanding her and seeing her for who she is. She expresses a wish to be understood and recognized by the other person. The chorus repeats the lines "I'm only dreaming," emphasizing the singer's awareness of the desire being unrealizable.
Overall, "Dreaming" portrays the painful experience of unrequited love and the hope for reciprocation. The lyrics express deep emotions that listeners can connect with when experiencing similar situations. The musical arrangement of the song is also uniquely complicated and complements the message of the lyrics.

You made my day !!!!!! If you could only imagine how long i have looked for this song/...lost it completely i guess i was dreaming :)Loved the lyrics from the first time i heared it years a go in a discotheque Kings Club in Belgium... Some songs just give you an eargasme and ghoosepumps instantly setting you on fire.... The way i feel music is by listening to the lyrics ,by my good and bad expériences and together it just exactly what you are who you are the way you think and see things combine things like a cook in the kitchen making a perfect dish ... Thank you so much for making it re apear in this society where love is no longer intresting or a feeling but it has become a tool that uses and manipulates people to get what they want .. And that's not the way it should be... Thank God and the magnificent parents who rased their children like a reflection of them selves..With dignity manners humbleness caring hart helpfull respectable smart wise clever shy down to earth ..It's these people who can still make the difference.. Thank you so much ! :) :)

Why I'm here:
One of the DVDs my family had for a while was the 2005 animated film Valiant. One of the promo trailers on the DVD before the Menu was the 2005 Dakota Fanning Kurt Russell Film Dreamer, with this song playing over it.
