I started to make melodies that I recognized. There was something special about being able to play just by yourself — something about the emotion in it made me want to continue playing.’ At age nine, when she had a better handle of the English language, she began writing songs. Her first original composition was titled ‘I Had A Dream’, which referred to how hard the world can be. Songs such as ‘Running With The Wolves’, ‘I Went Too Far’ and ‘Runaway’ were written in this early stage of her life, with ‘Runaway’ being written when she was 12.

Jack
Aurora Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Hey little girl
I would like to show you
My photo collection
Here I stand with Jack in my hand
You were perfect little girl
So perfect
Here I stand in
No-mans-land
With a stupid sun in my hand
My love to you were too strong
And since you're no more
I have brought this gun
Soon I'll put it to my head
Pull the trigger
Then I'm dead
Hey black girl
Here I sit on my bed
With wild staring eyes
Pretending I'm already dead
Hey little girl
Will you miss me like I miss you
When you see the photo
Of my blood painted room
The song "Jack" by AURORA is a haunting and eerie commentary on the fragility of the human mind and the destructive nature of obsession. The lyrics are full of disturbing imagery and unsettling themes, as the singer contemplates suicide and the object of their affection, Jack. The opening lines set the tone of the song, with the singer addressing a little girl and inviting her to look at their photo collection. This innocent request takes a dark turn when it becomes clear that the photos all feature the singer holding Jack in their hand - an ominous and threatening image.
The second verse of the song takes a darker turn, as the singer addresses a yellow girl and talks about being in "no man's land" with a sun in their hand. This can be interpreted as a reference to a weapon or perhaps a symbol of power or control. The singer admits that their love for the yellow girl was too strong, and they have brought a gun with the intention of taking their own life. The song ends with one final verse directed towards a black girl, as the singer pretends to be already dead and contemplates the aftermath of their actions.
Overall, "Jack" is a chilling and powerful song that explores complex themes of obsession, self-destruction, and the consequences of our actions. The lyrics are dark and unsettling, yet insightful and thought-provoking, leaving the listener with much to ponder long after the final notes have faded away.

Great reaction 🤗
The album is inspired by Greek mythology
Funny you should mention Harry Potter and forest, cause Aurora is all about nature and she also loves Harry Potter😅
“Everything Matters” is featuring the french artist Pomme in the end😊
About Cure for me:
Cure for Me" addresses the widespread misconception that LGBTQ+ individuals can or even need to be "cured".[13][14] Aurora, bisexual herself, challenges that view, stating that nobody needs to be cured for love and hoping there will never be a cure for human nature. In the same interview, Aurora dives deeper into the song, touching on the legality of conversion-therapy and personal shame for being oneself.
Billie Eilish said:
“When I was 12, I saw Aurora’s ‘Runaway’ music video,” she once told Vanity Fair. “Something inside me clicked, like, that is what I want to do, no matter whether it goes anywhere or not.”
Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer.
She plays several instruments like piano, guitar, mandolin and harp (what I know of).
She’s born on the 15 of June 1996, she’s from a small place in Os outside of Bergen, and is currently living in her apartment in Bergen 😍
When she was 6 years old she found an electric piano in the attic after her older sister.
Because the power button was broken she had to play with only one hand, and she did that for years.
She began writing music without lyrics at the age of 6, and with English lyrics at the age of 9. A couple of her songs that she wrote at the age of 9 is some of her most popular songs.
They are “Lucky” and “I went too far”
Her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 13 - 14 years old.
She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano.🤩😍
Could you please react to some of her live performances and music videos?
“Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017
“Runaway” live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015
She wrote this when she was 11 years old, and it’s possible you’ve herd it cause it went viral on TikTok.
“The Seed” official video
This is a powerful song and music video with an important message, a cry for Mother Earth
And maybe you could react to her other albums as well 😍

Infections of A Different Kind (Step I) should be the next AURORA album you check out cause the whole vibe is almost completely different & her voice has a different texture
Ricky
That's not a wig, it's Aurora's real hair.
Btw Great Reaction, her EP "Infections of a Different Kind" is my favorite from her discography with tribal and dark elements. Since you loved Heathens, you definitely need to listen that.

Incredible album. And has so much variety but every song is just great. Her lyrics are open for interpretations (in purpose) but always has deep meaning and sometimes songs has in my opinion like multiple interpretiona. Like it has first level of meaning (more obvious) and then more hidden true or different meaning.
Liked your reaction. Some of your interpretations and opinions was pretty interesting and some on point. BTW: even the name of album has reference to goods. And it based on a Greek mythology. I mean more like inspiration not necessary in very strict way. Every song has a god or person from mythology as a inspiration.
Love whole album but my favorites are: Everything Matter (also love a poetic lyric here and like my interpretation of song meaning), The Innocent (it was always in a big group of my favorites from this album but it growth higher in my eyes after more listens), Dangerous Thing (vocals are so beautifully and so good song even if so sad), Exhale Inhale, Blood In the Wine (with western like vibes - great song, although it was a little higher on my ranking before), Heathens, You Keep Me Crawling. Ok enough as it is almost half of the album already;).
Also hope for more reaction for her songs (or albums). In the previous albums her live performances are often even better then album songs. But she has also sometimes a multiple versions/arrangement of the songs.
For next reactions would recommend to check f.e. something from Nidarosdomen concert (it was 1h of pure magic, I recommend "Lucky"), from KEXP 2018 mini concert ("All is Soft inside" and/or "Churchyard").

Great reaction Jack :) The album is Aurora playing a little with different kind of music.
All song is based on individual Greek Gods, where each song reference each God, so you very right in your assumptions :)
She has a huge fanbase called Warriors and Wierdoes, and is currently on Tour in England, US and Europe where it is sold out everywhere.
Aurora is my absolute fav artist, and is maybe even better LIVE than studio. Take a look on her concert in Nidarosdomen.

Really lovely seeing you enjoy Aurora's art at first listen! If you have time, the beautiful documentary/concert "Haik" is a gem ❤️
Also, recent collabs with Suburban (Paramour) and Sondre Lerche (Alone in the night) are brilliant in completely (!) different ways.
MVs are always beautiful; Queendom, The Seed, Apple Tree, Runaway.
And she's so free and honest and funny on stage (and off). Recently saw a clip from a concert where she had everyone in the audience crack their knuckles at the same time 😁 Pure joy 🧡
