To Hell
Aurora Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
becomes an easy prey
to every wildanimal
and every wind
shall breath in the shadow
of every numbness tree
murmuring and whispering for his hideous sin
julia went down
down down to the ground
to hell and never coming back
to hell, julia went down she'll never return anymore
ablazed and graft down
and yet blossom as spring in its pride
with apples like condemned devil heads
and julia is no more
as she walked out the door
from which she'll never be returning
while she went down
now her soul is scald
in tartaros' streams
and feeds at hell' deadly tree,
beyond lethe, beyond bitterness fruit
demon's dwelling
in iron of hungry flames
her soul is seeking into orcus' sea of flames
julia went down
down down to the ground
The lyrics to Aurora's song "To Hell" are poetic and vividly describe the descent of a woman named Julia to the afterlife in Hell. The opening lines describe how her "barbaric body" becomes an easy prey to wild animals and how every wind now carries the shadow of numbness trees murmuring for his hideous sin. It sets the tone for the dark, foreboding journey that Julia is taking.
As the song continues, the lyrics describe how Julia "went down, down, down to the ground" and will never return anymore. The words "ablazed and graft down" could suggest that she was consumed by fire, but yet still managed to blossom like spring in its pride. The reference to "apples like condemned devil heads" could also signify the corruption of something that was once beautiful.
The later parts of the song describe how Julia's soul is now in Tartaros' streams, feeding at Hell's deadly tree, and seeking into Orcus' sea of flames. The lyrics are filled with references to Greek mythology and Dante's Inferno, which adds depth to the story. Overall, the lyrics to "To Hell" paint a haunting picture of a woman's journey to the afterlife and serve as a reminder of the consequences of our actions.
