Much of Autechre's music has a strong focus on complex rhythm and driving percussion, and more recently, on meticulous sequencing. Later work has been notably experimental and abstract, in contrast to the more club-friendly and conventional early 1990s releases.
Booth and Brown formed the group in 1987 while they were both living in Rochdale, United Kingdom. They began by making and trading electro and hip-hop mixtapes, but gradually collected some cheap equipment (most notably a Casio SK-1 Sampler) and moved on to their own compositions.

Beautiful in a sort of bittersweet way, like the song "Fold4,Wrap5" on LP5. Ae can be strongly melodic if they really want to.

Listening to this on a cloudy rainy day hearing the sound of the wind brushing through the leaves, it's surreal.

FUCK this is an absolute masterpiece. That progression around 5:30-6:00, gets so sad it is almost hard to bear. When they want to Autechre can pull at the heartstrings like no other artist.

There was a time when I’d put this song on auto repeat, put my headphones on and literally listen to it for hours.

Recollecting when it came out in the 90s. Not a lot of Aet songs can be remembered and I might say "hummed, in a melodic sense", but this keeps popping up once in a while, like a "classic pop song" . It's catchy and definitely one of their most memorable songs.
