Much of Autechre's music has a strong focus on complex rhythm and driving percussion, and more recently, on meticulous sequencing. Later work has been notably experimental and abstract, in contrast to the more club-friendly and conventional early 1990s releases.
Booth and Brown formed the group in 1987 while they were both living in Rochdale, United Kingdom. They began by making and trading electro and hip-hop mixtapes, but gradually collected some cheap equipment (most notably a Casio SK-1 Sampler) and moved on to their own compositions.

I consider this to be one of the greatest electronic tracks of all time, it's just incredible.

Scubadevils it’s just unreal

Honestly we should start a Reddit page and debate this because I keep thinking the same thing. This piece of art right here is better then Bike, and that song is transcendent but windwind is the whole embodiment of music. It is pure emotion and progression. It make me feel euphoric and also upset at reality. It literally changes my thought pattern aggressively like a drug. Good music just tickles this euphoria and existential feeling but windwind becomes that and goes to show you that music can be intuitive and thought provoking which can have negative and positive implementations. I believe this is the equivalent of God himself on the moral spectrum of positive emotion. This is the theme of humanity.

How people can say they don't like early autechre, I will never know.

Comparing early and current autechre is like comparing pizza and steak. Both good, love to switch from time to time

Yeah their first album is their best imho, id rate the garbage ep as the best material they released though... their abstract stuff not my style. And i love other abstract artists hmmmm
