Z Rokk has contributed music to soundtracks as “Varsity Blues”, “Johnny Tsunami” and National Lampoon’s “Beerfest”.
Z Rokk has toured with bands from the likes of Filter, Staind, Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, Deftones, and Far, Type O Negative, Sevendust and many more.
Musical philosophy is “Less is more!”
Favorite bands include- Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, T Rex, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy and Metallica, Helmet, Barkmarket, Far, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
Z Rokk owns and operates a music School in Sacramento, where he has taught music lessons for over seven years. He also owns a small recording studio recording his own music as well as other local bands around Sacramento and Northern California.
The band has just finished work on their newest 6 song EP entitled “The Murder of California” which was produced by Diebels and mixed by Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones, Demon Hunter). The EP features their first single “Hey Now” and is now available by Authentik Artists on iTunes, Amazon.com and most other online retailers.

The lyrics of "Something's Wrong" by Automatic Static express a feeling of inner turmoil and frustration. The singer states that all is said and done for the day, but something still feels off. They believe that other people may be mistaken in their opinions, but they themselves feel discouraged and disheartened. Despite this, the singer assumes that the person they are addressing is able to sleep soundly throughout the night, while they can't. The singer's mind is "all wrong" and they mention wanting to die. They suggest that the person they are speaking to could help, but that instead of doing so, they would try to fake their own response to the situation. The singer's head is all hollow, but they are determined not to be held down by Hell.
In the second verse, the singer reflects on their emotional vulnerability and how someone else has made them feel exposed. They imply that this person then delighted in their power over them, as the singer cried out in pain. The singer notes that while their head may be gone, their eyes remain strong, and they warn the other person that they will face consequences for their actions. The singer believes that the other person will turn away and that they will be the one to suffer. The final repetition of the chorus reinforces the singer's feeling that something is wrong, that they are hollow and that even Hell cannot hold them down.
