In an interview with Our Generation Music, Autumn! spoke about his stage name and how he obtained the name:
"I ainโt gon' lie, I wish I had a deep one. I wish I had like a deeper story or like a cool story. So you know, Summrs!, you know thatโs my brother and shit. He was rapping before me. When he was rapping, I would just produce it for him, you feel me? And I just noticed like he was catching up to me so fast and he passed me up and I was like โDamn, maybe I should start rapping.โ He was like โBro, just start rapping.โ And I was like fuck it, I'ma just be Autumn! I ainโt even think about it, I was like shit, Autumn! come after Summer, so I started rapping after you, so I'ma just be Autumn!. I was joking but it just stuck, so I was like fuck it."
In that same interview, Autumn! had also spoke about his producer name TwinUzis and how he obtained the producer name:
"I kind of just took that as my producer name because I always thought it was still like a hard name. I dont want to leave it behind. I didnโt wanna just be Autumn! and be like โOh, produced by Autumn!,โ like nah."
At the age of 11, Autumn! started producing after he taught himself using the recording program MixCraft, and has since continued to make beats after his brother moved away. Autumn! released his debut project, Happy Birthday, in June 2017 while working exclusively as a producer. His November 2018 mixtape, ##R3 ##R3, would gain traction on multiple platformsโ particularly โNina!โ becoming one of his breakout songs. The Louisiana native would drop fourteen projects over three years, ending with September 2021โs Not Much Left.
Some of his affiliates include the likes of Summrs, Lil Candypaint and Izaya Tiji among others. The Houston resident would also become close with the New York artist, Lil Tecca, who would feature on the remix of one of his most streamed songs, "Still The Same!".
On December 3, 2021, he released his highly anticipated single, "One Way!โ The trackโs leak was heavily pushed by TikTok, gaining the artist newfound, mainstream attraction. Thanks to the huge success of "One Way!,โ he would land himself a deal with Victor Victor. Autumn! would continue to release a slew of singles under the label, which led up to the release of his debut major-label album Antagonist!, released on April 29, 2022.
Following the release of Antagonist!, Autumn! released two new projects in 2022, one being the ##B4GC2 ##B4GC2 EP on July 28, 2022, which led up to his second major-label project, Golden Child, Chapter 2, released on August 26, 2022. The mixtape would be his last project with Victor Victor, as Autumn! soon left the label to become an independent artist again. Ending off 2022, Autumn! released the song โYou > Them (Hate It!),โ which also saw a heavy push through TikTok thanks to a snippet leak, further boosting Autumn!โs career.

Woah
Ain't never snaked one of my niggas, not once
Kept it real with all of my niggas from the jump
Nowadays it's a lot of shit that I laugh about
Like is bro really gon' use them sticks that he rap about?
Sticky situation, nigga get to dumpin' then we smashin' out
Now everybody postin' all these these R.I.P.'s like it matters now
It was some things that could've been done to prevent how we hashed it out
Truth be told, that the life that we living, it ain't shit to brag about
Most of this shit, it start on social media, what's that about?
The money, I promise it really ain't shit to be glad about
'Cause it really don't fix none of the things you're mad about
I thought it would fix everything, I guess that's what I'm sad about
They think just 'cause I'm blowin' up that I'm gon' be happy now
Seventh grade, taught myself how to play piano, told myself I was gon' make it
'Member like four or five years ago told my dad I was gon' have a Mercedes
All of them long nights at Walmart, one night I said, "Fuck it", 'cause I couldn't take it
One of my managers follow me to this day, she say I'm doin' amazing
Shoutout to George, shout Mr. Nathan, and my niggas Nick, Chris, and Jaelyn
And Nick, you better not stop making music, I swear to God, bro, you gon' make it
Fast-forward to December, I'm living my life and it's going amazing
January 2019, they took all that
Fast-forward, got my life 'round, had to fall back (BrentRambo)
Gabbana, baby, I miss you
And the new crib just don't feel the same without you, what you call that?
And that's pain
Just for one more day with you, take everything I got back
Yeah, that's pain
All the money in the world and I can't get my dawg back
Yeah, that's pain
I had to get myself through that, yeah, I had my own back
Paragraphs poppin' up on my phone, okay, I'm like, "Who that?"
Just got a text, "I'm finna go down", well say less, we on that
These niggas be on bullshit so you can't never be on lack
My uncle Dre called me, said niggas plottin', so we all strapped
We was like four deep in that Lexus and it was all black
Any nigga told you I ain't on shit, that's ball cap
For my family, whatever them niggas with, I'm with all that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
'Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that
('Round here, nigga, loyalty is what you call that)
Autumn's song Recollections of Loyalty & Pain tells the story of the ups and downs of life and friendship, But one thing that remains consistent is loyalty. The opening lines of the song explain that the artist has never betrayed any of his friends and has always been honest with them. The song then touches on the consequences of street life and the tragic loss of life that often results from it. The artist reflects on how social media and money can be a double-edged sword and not always the solution to problems.
The song also touches on personal struggles and overcoming challenges. It talks about the artist's determination to make it in music by teaching himself piano in seventh grade, working hard at Walmart, and eventually achieving success. However, the artist also talks about the pain they experienced when they lost a loved one, and no amount of money or success can bring that person back. The artist uses the song to reflect on the importance of loyalty, not only in friendship but also in family.
