1. An… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two music groups under the name 'Aviators':
1. An independent electronic music project created in Vermont, USA by Tyler Shaw in early 2011.
Being skilled in music theory after 8 years of violin lessons and teaching himself how to play the guitar, he created his first EP, Never Say Forever, using the digital audio workstation GarageBand, but removed it later, due to his lacking production skills at the time.
After switching from GarageBand to FL Studio and figuring out how to use it, he released his debut album, Reflections Of A Dream, in December 2011.
Before the release, he asked the indie musician Yoav Landau, better known as The Living Tombstone, to remix one of the songs on his debut. Landau agreed and shortly after the remix was uploaded on YouTube, Shaw's fanbase began to grow.
As of September 2019 his discography consists of 11 full-length studio albums, 1 TV-Show based album, 10 EPs, 5 remix albums, 2 soundtrack albums, 2 compilation albums, and 22 singles, as well as a number of free-to-download songs on YouTube and SoundCloud under the name 'Aviators'.
His most recent 12th studio album, titled 'The Cinematic Future', released March 6, 2020.

Catalyst
Aviators Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
They only know the absolute enemies
Born to prey upon the broken
In refusal of the truth
I am the catalyst awakened
I am the reason they're afraid
Somebody has to keep on trying
So in a world of silent people
We dared to make a sound
Sometimes the fire has to take you
For you to burn them to the ground
For a thief but not a soldier
Comes a chance to set them back if I can
I will strive to leave an ember
For the fires of the attack
I am the catalyst awakened
I am the reason they're afraid
Somebody has to keep on trying
Our only hope is far away
So in a world of silent people
We dared to make a sound
Sometimes the fire has to take you
For you to burn them to the ground
I don't know myself
Better than I know my purpose
Chances of success
Going down, I'm feeling nervous
Holding on for what?
Maybe faith, but it feels useless
One last shot for hope
Steal the key to kill the ruthless
Does it matter at all?
Does it matter at all, will we ever win?
Will we ever win?
Just a soldier on the ground
I will burn them i will burn them down
Distant lights and distant sounds
I will burn them i will burn them down
I am the catalyst awakened
I am the reason they're afraid
Somebody has to keep on trying
Our only hope is far away
So in a world of silent people
We dared to make a sound
Sometimes the fire has to take you
For you to burn them to the ground
I am the catalyst awakened
I am the reason they're afraid
Somebody has to keep on trying
Our only hope is far away
So in a world of silent people
We dared to make a sound
Sometimes the fire has to take you
For you to burn them to the ground
Just a soldier on the ground
I will burn them i will burn them down
In Aviators's song "Catalyst," the lyrics depict a world controlled by a chosen few. These individuals, who represent power and authority, only acknowledge the existence of their absolute enemies and exploit the vulnerable. However, amidst this oppressive environment, the singer emerges as the catalyst, the force that awakens and challenges the status quo. They become the reason why those in power are afraid.
The song emphasizes the importance of perseverance and the need to keep trying, even when the odds seem insurmountable. The singer realizes that the only hope for change lies in a distant, elusive opportunity. Despite the prevailing silence and conformity of the world, they dare to break the silence and make a sound. Sometimes, in order to bring about transformation, one must fully encompass the fire within themselves. By embracing this fire, they have the power to burn down the injustices and opposition that they face.
The lyrics also reflect the singer's internal struggle. They question their own identity and purpose, unsure of themselves and their chances of success. Yet, they hold on to the belief that even in the face of uncertainty, one last shot for hope can make a difference. In their quest to overthrow the ruthless and oppressive forces, they see themselves as a soldier on the ground, ready to set the world ablaze.
Overall, "Catalyst" is a call to action, urging individuals to stand up against oppression and fight for change, even when the outcome seems uncertain.

My parents just showed me a song this morning by Five Finger Death Punch- The Wrong Side Of Heaven- and it was bugging me all day as to where I had heard it before. Then, it suddenly hit me!

I know TWSOH came out first, but I still think the singing style is fantastic, and still very unique. The inspiration definitely lends itself to the meaning of the song, and listening to TWSOH definitely added to this song!
