2) Awa has been writing songs since the tender age of ten and got her first publishing deal at Universal Music Publishing at age 15. Her 3X swedish Grammy nominated debutalbum called "Sounds Like Me" was released in 2002. (SONY, KRED) The then 19 year old Awa produced and programmed 9 out of 13 tracks on the album and co-produced 3. This earned her the first swedish Grammy "Producer of the year" nomination ever given to a female. During all of this time she's had the opportunity to work and write with several great talents in the industry such as Mark Hill(of the Artful Dodger) who co-wrote and produced the track "Look at me" on the album. Other names include dynamic duo Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers, standing behind major Pop/RnB sensation Rhianna! She also had the great honour of accompanying Wyclef Jean on the arena The Globe in Stockholm replacing Mary J Blige, performing the smash "911", as well as performing with Will Smith and Wyclef toghether on a later occasion. Having a swedish mom and a gambian dad, her music has always had that mix of traditional swedish melody thinking blended with a backbeat rhythm.

(Got the same look upon your face..)
But your eyes are somehow out of place
Get a grip on the situation
It's the same words upon your tongue
But they seem to come out wrong..
You hold me, closely, but there's still a distance
With every little word we speak, with every little touch I see
That everything that's all you need, are fragments of what used to be..
It's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious. We should end it before it hurts...
I'm not sayin' it wasn't worth while, it was all I ever wanted.
You were all I ever wanted.
I'm not saying we weren't in love, but the more we got involved the more we seemed to dissolve.
There's a cold wind, blowin', we've got no resistance
You hold me, closely, but there's still a distance
With every little word we speak, with every little touch I see
That everything that's all you need, are fragments of what used to be..
It's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious, it's oh-oh-obvious. We should end it before it hurts...
We should end before it hurts..
We should end before it hurts..
There's a cold wind, blowin', we've got no resistance
You hold me, closely, but there's still a distance!
With every little word we speak, with every little touch I see
That everything that's all you need, are fragments of what used to be..
It's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious.
We should end it before it hurts...
With every little word we speak, with every little touch I see
That everything that's all you need, are fragments of what used to be..
It's so oh-oh-Obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious. We should end it before it hurts...
With every little word we speak, with every little touch I see
That everything that's all you need, are fragments of what used to be..
It's so oh-oh-Obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious, it's so oh-oh-obvious. We should end it before it hurts...
We should end it before it hurts...
We should end it before it hurts...
The lyrics of Awa's song "Obvious" convey a sense of resignation and acceptance that a relationship is coming to an end. The opening lines indicate that there is no specific reason or explanation for what is happening, but somehow the eyes of the person in question give away that something is amiss. The atmosphere is tense and emotionally charged, and the situation needs to be confronted head-on. However, the words that are being spoken somehow come out wrong or fail to convey the intended meaning, which only adds to the confusion and frustration.
The chorus repeats the phrase "it's so oh-oh-obvious" to emphasize that the inevitable end to the relationship is staring them right in the face. Despite acknowledging that what they have had was worthwhile and loving at one point, they also see that it has started to dissolve, and the more they try to hold onto it, the more pain it brings them. The cold wind blowing and the lack of resistance signify that a new and unwelcome reality is settling in. The lyrics repeatedly encourage ending the relationship before it hurts too much, as fragments of what it used to be are all that are left.
