After being a part of many touring and local music endeavors over the past several years, Awaken, North Wind! has decided that it is time to put every last ounce of time and effort into what they should have been doing from the start: making the most honest music they possibly can. There is not enough honest music in this world, and they are here to say it is okay to not have all the answers. It's alright to be confused with this world that we live in. It's okay to see our own imperfections and still know that we are all beautiful.
With the music they are creating, they hope to show you that there is something more worthwhile in music than dollars and bright lights, songs of girls and parties, we want to simply give you something to
think about. They aspire to create art that connects us all with one another, as well as every listener in a unique way. In counterculture, there was a time that bands took pride in what they had to say, and the precise way they said it to their audience. Awaken, North Wind! looks to push this core principle back to the forefront of each and every song on "Doubt", as it is a connected story from beginning to end about pride, logic, faith, carelessness, apathy, virtue, and doubt.
The story may seem outwardly spiritual, but if you look beneath common misconceptions and assumptions, it runs much deeper than a Christian message as they are not trying to portray a biased spiritual outlook. As you read the story and put yourself in the shoes of the character, there is a good chance that every single one of us can relate to the struggles that we face in life in our own ways through these songs.
Without joy, we drown.

For the first time ever I've made it an hour into your podcast, and I gotta say the parallels I'm drawing between Moth Breath's failure and my own lately are probably gonna keep me up longer 😂
Saving this episode for later.
