James always wakes up a beast when he's singing without playing guitar. He has an amazing voice. Saw Metallica with GnR summer of 92 after he got burned in that pyro accident. He sung and I can't remember who played guitar for him, but that is the best I've ever heard him sing live and you could tell he was having a good time with it.

Back in the mid 80's, James broke his arm mid tour in a skateboard accident (!), and they got John Marshall from Metal Church to fill in for him... So when he stepped into those pyros in the early 90's and again needed someone to fill in for him, it just made sense to ask the same guy who had done it before and knew the drill. 😊

I was at the concert.

It was kind of a Queen / pop audience since there were lots of big pop stars attending.

Iommi came out introduced by May - and you could see that he was there since he was one of Brian’s heroes. They played a couple of bars of ‘Heaven and Hell’ but there wasn’t much of an audience reaction... just not a Sabbath audience.

Tony iommi and Brian may 🤘🏻👌🏻 and james Hetfield sounded superb here...but every time the camera was on deaky you could just see the sadness radiate out of him...he does not look comfortable doing what he does better than anybody, without Freddie 😓

The two greatest heavy metal bands EVER of all time and both happen to be my two main faves I was two years of age watching this on TV never will forget how much of a impact both Metallica (Godfathers of Thrash metal) and Queen+Black Sabbath (Godfathers Of Heavy Metal) would become a life long bsession of religous dedication to the greatest music in existence!!!!!

Imagine a tour of both bands before Freddie passed away that would have been incredible!!!! The WrestleMania of concerts!!!
