Close
B! Machine Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Spent leaving you
And I don't understand the attraction
Even if I hold you close
Even if I hold you closer
My blood
With thoughts of you
I find in a glass
It doesn't bring me closer
It doesn't bring me close
I am finally near you
We make promises
We talk of today, and the next day
And even though we're close
It still means nothing at all
Even if I hold you closer
I still have nothing at all
Even when I hold you closer
Nothing at all
Even when I hold you closer
It still means nothing at all
Even if I hold you close
The lyrics of "Close" by B! Machine paint a picture of a person who has wasted so much of their life trying to be with someone they're attracted to, but whose attraction is not reciprocated. The first verse sets the tone for the song, which is one of frustration and confusion. The person cannot understand why they are attracted to someone who doesn't feel the same way about them. The chorus, which is repeated several times throughout the song, talks about the futility of physical closeness. Even if the two are close together, it doesn't bring them any closer emotionally. The second verse is a bit more abstract, with the person talking about their blood being filled with thoughts of the other person, as though they are completely consumed by their feelings. But no matter how much they think about this person or how close they physically get to them, it doesn't bring them any closer emotionally. Finally, in the last verse, the person speaks of being near the person they're attracted to and making promises for the future. But even though they're "close," it means nothing at all.

MARSH
Theory :
The girl's boyfriend is in love with another girl who's alive or dead, and see her in his girlfriend. It hurts his girlfriend, who's the only one to be in love. But his boyfriend can't forget this another girl.
It's an impossible and hopeless relationship. The girl knows that he'll never loves her, but just can't stop.
"Toss your dirty shoes in my washing mashine heart baby"
Maybe, this means that he uses her as a replacement girl to try to "wash his dirty shoes in her washing machine heart" before toss them. The dirty shoes representing his lost, hopeless love (the guy's) for the girl he loves. He sees his replacement girlfriend as the girl he still loves "I know who you pretend I am", "why not me".
Or maybe it means : tell me, or toss your problems in my heart i'll wash them so you can love me properly
This is so sad... 😢

I listen to this song, and think about my “friendship history/status”, for some reason.
Since I remember about myself as a person, I remember that I never had any friends. My entire childhood was pretty lonely, apart from my brother 3 years younger than me. He was too young to understand me, so I didn't even talk to him very well. And I was always more introverted, which made things even more difficult.
Years passed, and 2016 arrived. With it, a kind of funny experience. I suffered bulliyng without even noticing it. I only realized what was happening when my mother's friend's daughter told my mother what was happening to me.
This girl, who we'll call “Lora”, studied at the same school as me. So we made quick contact, and became friends.
I don't know how I feel about our friendship right now, but, I remember I accepted everything she wanted (For example: I wanted to play memory game, but she wanted to play with dolls. So I would play dolls with her, no questions asked!). Don't blame her, she was a good person and the problem was actually me. It was probably a reflection of having had a childhood without any real friends.
She studied at the same school as me, one year in and one year out. And she said she was going to move house, so, with that, our friendship was unraveling, until we reached the point of today: We don't even exchange an “A” between us!
But back to the past, let's go to 2019. It was July, after school break, when I heard my second friend's name. Let's call her "Allie".
Allie and I only became friends towards the end of the year, after my 12th birthday.
This friendship was more magical than the previous one, as we discovered something we both enjoyed doing: Drawings and comic books. We'd rip two or more sheets out of our notebooks and let our imaginations do the rest. So we created a character named Jandira who had adventures with her classmates.
But, as everything good is short-lived, the year came to an end, and she told me she was going to change schools. Man, I cried, but I didn't shed any tears. It hurt, but... I don't even know what to say, okay?
The last memory I have of her is her leaving the school gates, saying goodbye to me for the last time. A while later, my mom found out what happened and said, "Don't worry, you're going to make new friends!" Boy, how a 12 year old, who has spent her whole life alone, is going to make friends quickly, like it's the easiest thing in the world?
Finally, 2020 has arrived. Then the pandemic. And today, I'm here, one day before my birthday, unburdening myself to you all. Thanks for reading this far. Goodbye.

LYRICS
Toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine heart
Baby, bang it up inside
I'm not wearing my usual lipstick
I thought maybe we would kiss tonight
Baby, will you kiss me already, and
Toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine heart
Baby, bang it up inside
[Verse 2]
Baby, though I've closed my eyes
I know who you pretend I am
I know who you pretend I am
[Chorus]
But do mi ti
Why not me?
Why not me?
Do mi ti
Why not me?
Why not me?
Do mi ti
Why not me?
Why not me?
yagi
Toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine heart
Baby, bang it up inside
I'm not wearing my usual lipstick
I thought maybe we would kiss tonight
Baby will you kiss me already and
Toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine heart
Baby, bang it up inside
Baby, though I've closed my eyes
I know who you pretend I am
I know who you pretend I am
Do mi ti
Why not me?
Why not me?
Do mi ti
Why not me?
Why not me?
Do mi ti
Why not me?
Why not me?
Kawaii
Tira tus zapatos sucios en el corazón de la lavadora
Cariño, golpea adentro
No estoy usando mi labial de siempre
Pensé que tal vez nos besaríamos esta noche
Cariño me puedes besar ahora y
Tira tus zapatos sucios en el corazón de la lavadora
Cariño, golpea adentro
Cariño, aunque he cerrado mis ojos
Se quien finges que soy
Se quien finges que soy
Do mi ti
¿Por qué no yo?
¿Por qué no yo?
Do mi ti
¿Por qué no yo?
¿Por qué no yo?
Do mi ti
¿Por qué no yo?
¿Por qué no yo?
