Queen
B.A.C.H. Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
A scent that cursed be
Under cold dark dust
From the darkness
Rise a succubus
From the earthen rust
Haresis Dea
Now exposing bone
From the darkness
Rise a succubus
And usurp the throne
The moon is full and shines
An evil blinding light
Under a monolith, her likeness
Marble white
Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh
Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh
Up from the stinking dirt she rises
Ghastly pale
Shape-shifting soon but now she's rigid
Stiff and stale
Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh
Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh
Zombie Queen
Zombie Queen
Black light guides you
Ghuleh Ghuleh
The lyrics to B.A.C.H.'s song "Queen" describe the rise of a succubus, a female demon who seduces men in their dreams, and her usurpation of the throne after the former queen's decay. The song seems to evoke themes of death, decay, and transformation as the succubus emerges from the darkness and rises from earthen rust. The scent of putrefaction is also mentioned, adding to the song's overall eerie and mysterious mood.
The reference to the moon being full and shining an evil blinding light may suggest that the succubus has mystical powers or is aligned with the supernatural. The repetition of the phrase "Zombie Queen" could be interpreted as the title of the song or the name of the succubus character, emphasizing her undead and supernatural nature. The use of the phrase "black light" and "Ghuleh Ghuleh" also adds to the eerie tone of the song.
Overall, the lyrics of "Queen" paint a picture of a world where the dead rise and supernatural entities seize power. The succubus in the song is portrayed as an alluring and dangerous figure, wielding powers that are beyond mortal understanding.

I remember asking myself "What would Brian do?" when I was figuring out what to play in the Bach section of the Classical composers compilation (Vol 2.). Everybody thought it sounded like Queen, so I decided to play the whole piece, in the style of one of my favorite bands, as a tribute and a thank you to a man who changed my life, since the days when I was little and watched live at wembley on VHS 24/7.
4 Years ago, he shared several times 2 of my videos where I portrayed him. It was covered on many Portuguese TV channels and newspapers, and people still remember and talk about it!
Once in a while I listen to somebody say to a friend "look, the guitar player from Queen shared this guy's videos!". It really changed my life, I toured a lot with my brother's band and got a lot of love from the crowds of hundreds and thousands and from your kind support in this youtube channel.
Nowadays I have a beautiful wife, 1 daughter, will have another by the end of this month, built my own little home with my dad, like he built his guitar with his, and am living the happiest of lives. And what this legend did for me and for music will live with me forever.

You’ve got the hair, you’ve nailed the tone, the feel was perfect. You’re almost literally morphing into Brian May. He’d be proud!
