B.B. Boogie
B.B. King Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

B.B. Boogie darlin', the B.B. Boogie baby
Do the B.B. Boogie, if it takes you all night long

Well, I looked at the clock, the clock said four
My baby jumped up, she said, "B, let's go"

Do the B.B. Boogie baby, B.B. Boogie darlin'
Do the B.B. Boogie, if it takes you all night long

Grabbed my baby, turned her round and round
She said, "B's the boogiest man in town"

The B.B. Boogie darlin', B.B. Boogie baby
Do the B.B. Boogie, if it takes you all night long

I grabbed my baby and I held her tight
Me and my baby do the boogie all night

The B.B. Boogie darlin', B.B. Boogie baby
Do the B.B. Boogie, if it takes you all night long

I grabbed my baby and I held her tight
She said, "Love me baby and squeeze me tight"

The B.B. Boogie, B.B. Boogie darlin'
B.B. Boogie, if it takes you all night long

@fillra01

Thanks for this, it is amazing music. Really good article about BB King in today's Observer, a London UK newspaper: "BB King at 87: the last of the great bluesmen". (Sunday, 7th October 2012)

@TropicalLatitude

That's teenager Calvin Newborn on electric guitar. Look him up on Youtube. Mr Newborn lived to a ripe old age and played until his last days. Recorded by Sam Phillips of Sun Studios 4 years before Elvis.

@skiddoo-fr9ex

Mostly known as a jazz guitarist, and a fine one. Brother of Phineas Newborn, Jr., a great jazz pianist. The Newborns were some of the people Elvis and Scottie Moore were listening to.

That's ROCK N ROLL !!!

@skiddoo-fr9ex

Rock & rollers could never hit it this way. They WISH this was rock & roll.
