Upon listening to B.E.S.M.E.T's song A Dream, it is clear that the lyrics are open to interpretation due to their abstract nature. Despite this, one can gather that the opening lines "Open eyes, No surprise" refer to the realization that the world can be a cruel and unforgiving place - that one's eyes have been opened to the harsh realities of life. This feeling of disillusionment is further emphasized by the following lines "Eating tiny people is what we do" - a metaphorical reference to the notion that the weak and vulnerable are often preyed upon by those in power.
