Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
But they cant they gon choke
Say they rich but they broke
I can tell that its a front i can tell that they a joke
I got infrared vision i can see right through the smoke
I can hit you from a distance i dont even need a scope
Wit my words, not a gun i dont need that shit to sell
Either way, same result still gon send yo ass to hell
So sit your ass down
And bitch be humble
When they tell you that im lyin they mean king of the jungle
Its a shame
That they run
They my prey
They my son
Ladies come and go
But they say that im the one
If you didnt now you know
All your favorite rappers done
If i see you at my show
I want you all goin dumb like
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
When they start to shoot
Start duckin
Man that be the cue
Stay out of public
Streets got no rules
N***as dumpin
Twelve askin who
You better say nothin
Talk talk talk
Can you do the walk walk walk
I stay outta trouble but my shooters they don't
Ballin like a Celtic I don't even play for em
When you callin im collectin hit you on the pay phone
Yeah
Recognize who I am
Workin hard every night and I ain't pullin scams
Who to call when it spark he'll pull up let it blam
Beat the charge wit a guard and he'll do it again
Yeah yeah
Caught me in my worst place
Couldn't even beat me on my worst day
Been a while I been out here gettin paid
New year same me
New hit same case
Lil n***as
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
Kick me when im down well
Well
What they kick me when im down for
Why you kick me when im down hoe
Kick me when im down well
Well
What they kick me when im down for
Why you kick me when im down hoe
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well
Let me take a minute just to break it all down
Everybody thinks they have a place in my town
Everybody wants to try and copy my sound
Everybody thinks that they can kick me when im down well

Overall Meaning

In "Break it Down," B.G. & Juvenile address their status and approach to anyone who seems to be vying for their spot, copying their moves, or kicking them while they're down. They begin by announcing that they're about to explain their perspective on the issue. The rappers then call out everyone who they believe is trying to mimic them, and believe that they can knock them down when they're vulnerable. However, B.G. & Juvenile are not fazed by their pretenders, and assert that they have a clear view of everyone, even those trying to deceive others with their phony façade. They remind their haters, that they have a distinct level of visibility that can see right through them, and they can see that they're not authentic. The rappers proclaim that they don't need weapons or anyone else's support because their words alone are sufficiently powerful to achieve all that they seek. Finally, they conclude with a message that everyone who tests them will face dire consequences, and they emphasize that they are the kings of the town, unbeatable and unstoppable.
