B4-4 Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Verse one
Staring in the flame of a candle light
Will it burn here still tomorrow?
Watchin' all the people tryin' pass me by
Wanna warn them what's to follow
Pre Chorus
What's it gonna take for you to believe?
How many mistakes till ya'll gonna see
They've got you good, look all of you dying!
You know damn well they wanna burn you
And you know damn well you won't survive
If you're ever gonna hear me, somebody anybody
Come on and end all your fighting
Chorus
Stop
It's such a disgrace
They're losin' their face
They're killin' the whole damn human race
Stop
The Innocent die
The children all cry
Why can't we all be allies?
Verse two
Lookin' through the eyes of a small young girl
Will her tears be dry tomorrowß
She looks around and wonders why there's so much hate
And she fears of what's to follow
Pre Chorus
You know damn well they wanna burn you
And you know damn well you won't survive
If you're ever gonna hear me, somebody anybody
Come on and end all you're fighting
Chorus
Stop
It's such a disgrace
They're losin' their face
They're killin' the whole damn humen race
Stop
The Innocent die

The children all cry
Why can't we all be allies?

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of B4-4's song "Stop" delve into the darker sides of society and the world we live in. The song starts with the image of the singer staring at a candle flame and questioning whether it will still burn tomorrow. This can be interpreted as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of life itself. The singer is then shown watching people rush past him, trying to warn them of the impending doom that is to follow. The pre-chorus touches on the theme of disbelief, with the singer asking what it will take for people to understand the gravity of the situation. He goes on to mention that "they" want to burn you, and you won't survive if you don't heed the warning.

In the second verse, we see the perspective of a small girl who is wondering if her tears will be dry tomorrow. She looks around and wonders why there's so much hate, and fears what is to follow. This is a powerful image that drives home the message of the song. The pre-chorus is repeated again, further emphasizing the need for action.

The chorus is the focal point of the song, where we see the singer pleading with everyone to stop the violence and senseless killing. He calls it a disgrace and says that it's killing the whole human race. He doesn't shy away from showing the impact on innocent lives, with children crying because of it. He implores everyone to come together and be allies.

Overall, the song has a powerful message about taking action against the senseless violence and hate in the world. It highlights the importance of coming together as a community to fight against the wrongs that we see around us.

@JulieCallies

Amazing song released 2003 by B44 and NOT covert by US5. But both bands have been at the same management so US5 would be allowed to cover it if they wanted to. Plus Jay has been/is a friend of the twins so yea.
