In both guises, the band has been at the forefront of spreading the Digital Heavy Industrial sound concept throughout Japan's underground scene. As CHRONOTRIGGER, the band played many shows across Japan's industrial and dark music scenes including Android 666, the Kobe Underground Festival and Auto-Mod's Tokyo Dark Castle - Japan's leading live Gothic event. During this period, the band also released its demo CD featuring the tracks "On the Surface" and "Judgment."
The name BAAL was adopted in June 2005, reflecting the band's conceptual evolution and reinforcing its identity as part of Japan's underground scene.

To pay your respect
You're sending chain mails
With a best wish attached
You're dreaming
Democracy's great
Pure perfection
You're building
Walls to protect
You do it again and again
It's a free world
You jump to conclusions
You have the solutions
To the troubles you made
While bushes are burning
You're the rulers of the world
Pretenders of the state
You're the leading stars on stage
In this western masquerade
You wash away the sins of today
Throwing lifebelts to a crowd that don't cheer
You live in the glasshouse contend
You're defending
Use fright as a reason
To justify your
20th. century crusade
While bushes are burning
You're the rulers of the world
Pretenders of the state
You're the leading stars on stage
In this western masquerade
The song "Hey Hey Hey" by BAAL is a powerful commentary on the political and social issues of our time. The opening lyrics set the tone for the song, as it talks about people burning candles to pay respect, sending chain mails with best wishes, and dreaming of democracy and pure perfection. These actions are juxtaposed with the reality of the world we live in, where the poor are separated from the rich, walls are being built to protect certain interests, and people jump to conclusions with solutions to the troubles they created. The chorus of the song establishes the theme of the song itself, calling out those in power for being the pretenders of the state and the leading stars on stage in the western masquerade.
The second stanza of the song is even more hard-hitting, as it talks about how those in power use fear as a reason to justify their crusade. The chorus repeats to reinforce the idea that those ruling the world are pretenders, who wash away sins of today and throw lifebelts to crowds that don't care while they live in their glass houses defending their actions. The lyrics paint a picture of the leaders of the world being out of touch with reality and using their power to protect their interests while they claim to be democratic and just.
In conclusion, "Hey Hey Hey" by BAAL is a song that calls out those in power and exposes their hypocrisy. The lyrics are thought-provoking and serve as a reminder to question those in authority and not blindly follow their actions.
