1) A rock group from Cologne (Köln), Germany, founded in 1976. Their most outstanding feature has been that all the songs performed by BAP are in Kölsch, the local ripoarian language (or German dialect) spoken in Cologne and its vicinity, which is hardly understood in other parts of Germany. BAP had their greatest successes in the 1980s, when they stormed the national charts with a number of subsequent singles. Their all-time number one is "Verdamp lang her".
During the peace movement in the 80s they played concerts on demonstrations and were dedicated to the disarmament in Germany and Europe.
2) BAP!! (Brigada Anti Polizialak) is an influential Basque Hardcore fusion band. Formed in 1984 and disbanded in 1996, they only released 3 albums partly because the drummer joined Negu Gorriak but achieved the cult band status thanks to their open minded fusion of styles and powerful live performances. Later 3 of the members formed Inoren Ero Ni.
3) BAP. is the stage name of Jakarta-based rapper and producer Kareem Soenharjo. He also goes by the name of Yosugi as a producer, DJ, and the frontman the noise quartet BAPAK. Monkshood, his debut album, celebrated as essential in defining Indonesia's modern hip hop scene. On 12th of November 2021, his latest and sophomore album "MOMO'S MYSTERIOUS SKIN" was released. Later on in 2022, he received an AMI (Anugerah Music Indonesia) award, as the best hip-hop/rapper solo artist for his single namely "SAME SHOES, NO COMPANY".

The lyrics to BAP's song "Et ess wie't ess" tell a story of life as a musician on tour, with all of its highs and lows. The opening lines describe a dreary hotel in some distant province, surrounded by the rush-hour traffic of the local city. The next lines describe the monotony of life on the road, with endless drives and the colors of the traffic lights blurring together, as well as the need to pack up and move on quickly.
The chorus contains the central metaphor of the song: life is like driving on a highway, with its ups and downs, curves, and traffic jams. The verses describe specific instances of life on the road: playing countless gigs across the country, losing touch with old friends, and making bad decisions in one's youth.
The final lines offer a message of hope that the highway of life will eventually lead to a better tomorrow. Overall, "Et ess wie't ess" is a poignant and introspective look at the life of a musician, told through vivid imagery and powerful metaphor.
