Strider 91
Just finished the season: one of the more funny shows I’ve seen in a long time. Laughed out loud at some points and that’s a very difficult thing to make me do. The perfect mix of drama and humour and the development of each character throughout the season was so well done. Merchant is such a great writer/comedian/director

Absolute genius, best TV programme I've seen this year anyway, possibly longer. Perfect (for me anyway) balance of drama and humour, and, unlike many TV programmes these days, not excessive amounts of violence and swearing. Great characters, it would be difficult to pick out a favourite out of them though the temptation would be to say Frank because, well its Christopher Walken!. But I really liked Greg (Spehen Merchant's character) and Diane (the community support officer), both of who continually cracked me up.
Re Christopher Walken, he most certainly does not "accept anything and everything". He has no reason to and he certainly does not need the money. If a film maker wants him involved, they have to make the effort to contact him (no internet, Stephen Merchant had to fax him the script!), and he will only take the part if he likes the script.
