The lyrics of BBHF's song Mirror Mirror explore themes of communication, agreement, and the consequences of breaking that agreement. The first verse sets up the scenario: Person one takes their position, while person two hands a rose to person three after removing its thorns and sharing a kiss with them. This exchange between person two and person three is described as an act of mutual agreement and communication of love. However, this agreement is shown to be fragile and easily lost, as person two is unable to continue and steps out of position, burning the roses they had given to person three. Person two's laughter indicates that they are enjoying the act of breaking the agreement, while person one has already left and person three is left crying and observed by many.
The second verse repeats the actions of the first, but this time person two expresses doubt and an inability to continue, while person one and person three continue in their positions. This exchange ends with person two burning the roses and saying that they can't continue. In the final verse, person one has left and person two burns down a forest, wipes away their tears, and shares another kiss with person three. The overall message seems to be that love and trust are easily lost but difficult to earn back, and that breaking agreements can have serious consequences.

結構The 1975ぽいって感想が出てるけど個人的には最近のTwo Door Cinema Clubぽいと思った。
PVもTyler the Creatorのジャケ写のオマージュっぽい、今作を聴く限りだと全体的に洋楽感増したけど聴くだけでBBHFだとわかるくらい軸はブレてないなって思った。でもざき兄の声抜きでどこらへんがBBHFらしいかって問われると口ごもってしまうけどそれは多分自分が聴いてきた音楽の量が彼らの足元にも及ぼないってことなんだと思う。
どっちにしてもBBHFが日本で最高の音を出すアーティストであることには変わりないし、新作が出される度に自分の中での最高が更新される。
これからもWarbear、Ouchi Daisuki Clubと並行して好きな音楽を自由に作って欲しい。
次作はMirror Mirrorと対の方向性だとインタビュー記事に書いてあって果たしてどんなものが聴けるんだろうって新作がリリースされたばっかなのにもう次作を楽しみにしてる…
