I wonder why, why you're so mean to me
I'll be good to you baby, good as a man can be
Gonna give you my picture, woman
Gonna put it in your frame
When I'm dead and gone, you'll remember my name
I wonder why, why you're so mean to me
5aid that you loved me, that you always will be mine
Now you've gone and left me, I'm the one that's crying
I wonder why, why you're so mean to me
I'll be good to you woman, good as a man can be
You told me that you loved me
That you always would be mine
But now that you've gone and lell me
I'm the one that's crying
I wonder why, why you're so mean to me
I'll be good to you, baby, good as a man can be
I wonder why, why you're so mean to me
I wonder why, why you're So mean to me
I'll be good to you baby, good as a man can be
I wonder why, I wonder why, I wonder why,
I wonder why
I wonder why, I wonder why, I wonder why,
I wonder why
I'll be good to you baby, good as a man can be
The lyrics of BBM's song "I Wonder Why" express the confusion and hurt of a man who has been mistreated by his partner. He wonders why she is so mean to him despite his efforts to be good to her. He offers to give her his picture, hoping to be remembered after he is gone. The repetition of the phrase "I wonder why" emphasizes his bewilderment and pain.
The song touches on themes of love, betrayal, and regret. The singer recalls how his partner professed her love for him, only to leave him heartbroken. He vows to be good to her if she returns, but it is unclear if she ever will.
The lyrics are straightforward and heartfelt, capturing the raw emotions of a man struggling to understand why his relationship has failed. The song's bluesy guitar riffs and soulful vocals enhance its emotional impact, making it a classic example of the blues genre.
