In 2000, Adrien Gallo, Karim Réveillé and Raphaël Delorme, childhood friends, formed the band "Hangover" with songs exclusively in English. Some years later, Raphaël left the band at the moment when they were signing their first contract. The new lineup found a new guitarist, Félix Hemmen, who enjoyed their music. In 2007, the bassist Bérald Crambes joined the band.
The band took the name BB Brunes, inspired by the name of the song "Initials BB" by Serge Gainsbourg and by Paris's boulevard Brune, where the band then did their rehearsals. The band's musical influences are punk and rock groups from the 1960s and 1970s as well as current groups such as The Strokes, Amy Winehouse, The Clash, David Bowie, Ray Charles and singers like Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Dutronc, etc. Their lyrics are mostly in French.
In 2009, the group won a Victoires de la musique in the category 'Group or artist stage revelation of the year'.
They have sold over 2 milllion albums and singles in France alone, 3.8 million in Europe.

L'aventure est là
Taureau, corrida
Lidia
J'fais les cent pas
En zapatillas
Bleu sous-marine
J'ai pas voulu replonger
Je tire à blanc
J'ai une angine
Une grippe carabinée
Puzzle
Un peu seul
Multipyramidal
Jingle
Jungle
Trop plein, tropical
Coma
Ça fait des dégâts
D'ignorer toutes les lois
Cobra
J'sue sous mon bandana
En tenue de combat
Dans mon deux-pièces
J'fais mon footing
J'ai pas l'air conditionné
Je passe l'éponge
Je coupe la clim
Faut savoir se ménager

The opening lines of the song “Fiesta, L'aventure est là, Taureau, corrida” sets the mood of the song as an adventurous one. The lyrics describe a journey full of excitement and adrenaline, possibly in the context of a wild Spanish fiesta. The singer mentions various contrasting images, such as "Tronçon de pièce, Bleu sous-marine," which could be a piece of a submarine that has sunk deep into the ocean. He also mentions being sick and tired, as in "J'ai une grippe carabinée" and "Je passe l'éponge, Je coupe la clim, Faut savoir se ménager."
The chorus of the song revolves around the theme of puzzlement, as evident from the repetition of the line "Puzzle, Un peu seul, Multipyramidal." The use of the word "Jungle" and "Trop plein, tropical" suggest an exotic location, further enhancing the sense of adventure in the song. The lyrics of "Cobra, J'sue sous mon bandana, En tenue de combat" add a touch of danger to the song, with the singer feeling like a warrior on a mission.
The song's overall message could be interpreted as a celebration of the journey of life, with all its ups and downs, twists and turns, and unexpected surprises. It encourages listeners to embrace the puzzle of life, manage their energy levels, and find joy in the journey.
