This was the first record by BB King I ever heard.

It came from an open window on the ground floor across the college lawn and I stopped in my tracks, went over and asked with awe: "Who is that man, playing?" 😂 "Oh, that's BB King. Have you never heard him?"

I was 18, always a blues fan, but I somehow hadn't. Since then not a record, not one live performance slipped by.

Our children wouldn't understand where we're coming from when we say, " Lord, we've come a long way from where we used to be!" An American Treasure. One of a kind, so incredible when you take in to consideration everybody and his mother tries to play the Blues, thinking it's easier than shredding a guitar or doing the Jazz thing. Sorry Stevie, Eric Clapton, any English invasion bands don't even come close. If that intro doesn't make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, check for a pulse OR a brain wave. Mr. King is an AMERICAN TREASURE.
