2 weeks before my Dad passed away, he mentioned that he absolutely loved this song. So he asked me to put it on every playlist that he had, and he kept it on repeat.... Noticed I haven’t paid my cable and wifi Bill this month either! Have flu, Covid or something been dragging me down a month. Figured a bug but quarantined myself last week to keep everyone safe and cancelled yesterday’s doctor appointment. Amazing how our world has changed. This is the second time that I’ve called in sick from going to see my primary care doctor haha! Can’t go until I diagnose myself bc I don’t want to make anyone there sick. Those young people need to make a living, so I don’t go when I’m sick. DID go for my appointment the day my heart was acting up back in May 2020 and I pretty much knew I couldn’t push through that on my own. I’ve had too much experience living in this old body and my “heart failure” heart was getting ready to stop working at all. Had to go and as soon as my NP walked in the exam room, his smile disappeared and his color turned pale. I said yes, I’m in trouble and need help today. He said I’ll be right back and returned with an IV, started me on fluids bc I was obviously dehydrated. Right now I’m sitting here drinking a Coke which should be water, so we can’t fix stupid. Addiction, the problem is real, stroked by habit. He then called an ambulance saying, I’m doing something you won’t like. I told him, once called, do as you see fit bc that’s why I came today. If I didn’t trust you, I would have gone elsewhere. Sent me out of town where specialists checked my heart. Was born with several birth defects, parents were told my life expectancy was 5 years at best. I would never walk but may enjoy a happy childhood with proper care. My grandfather, an old Cherokee medicine man/blacksmith said she will live to grow up being a strong individual, as long as she keeps the will to live. She’s a child now so we decide for her so I’m telling you the parents, she will walk as early as your other children and I will make her braces for her legs, I’ll be needing a hard pair of her walking shoes to fit her when the time is right with 1/2 size too big to allow for growth and we all must pray. Know this: I am a servant and God is the Great Physician, to whom I assist and obey. We will work together and Crystal will not only survive but will live a life. There is a big difference. He was a man of much wisdom. Of course I know his words bc Mom wrote them down, although he was my Dad’s Dad. Dad called him Poppy, which I find interesting. To me he was Grandpa. My grandparents on Dad’s side were both Native American from two different tribes, which made theirs a mixed marriage under tribal laws at the time, so they were on their own. Of course their skin was the same color pics seem to show, although they were the color of old people in my lifetime. Was a small child and blind to skin color except sunburn. Always had a huge heart, which in my last days am learning to reel in quite a bit, living on very little with less to give, truly needing help from others instead of being the help, recognizing the few who have stood by me and have definitely learned how to wait for others to wait on me, and learned to do without some personal items I was used to simply hopping in my car, driving out to the store and buying it. Sure I was in pain from my arthritis always for several years now, not a picnic. But once my undiagnosed gallbladder took me down to 71 pounds and I learned about hunger pains, then was dying of starvation when my gall bladder stones and infection were found and removed in October. My son and his wife make sure I keep food here, appreciate food more than I ever have in my life and finally made it back up to 78 pounds. This headache is making me say goodnight and sorry for a multitude of typos I’m sure. Having emotional problems after starving, more mentally traumatic more than you’d think. Have Parkinson’s also, so forget I can’t get in the car and go sometime, until I reach for my keys. I put them in a different place now to keep us all safe. 2020 was an awful year so I’m hoping for improvement this year, for us all. Would LOVE to see Americans unite again, stop throwing rocks and start throwing love at each other; or at least human compassion if a person seems less than. No more writing from my now simple mind tonight. Please enjoy living life if you are physically able. Surviving life in pain and need isn’t nearly as good as living it haha! But is completely worth it to prevent your very own children the pain of losing a parent as long as possible; a permanent pain we learn to live with that pain, but if you’ve lost a parent you already know what I’m talking about. @Francesco Salvioli Where in Italy? We were just there last year as my daughter got married in Tuscany and we did the tourist thing afterwards to Rome, Florence and Venice. The wedding venue was a farm house in the Tuscany countryside and it was beautiful. What a great trip!! The wine tastes so very different (way better and I am not a wine drinker), than we get here and the olive oil was better tasting as well. The history, the architecture, the food and the people were amazing!!
