The lyrics to BOøWY's song "Give It To Me" speak about a desire for physical connection, without the need for emotional attachment. The singer expresses that they do not want to waste time with games, and are willing to give their body to their partner, but only without emotional involvement. They apologize for their lack of sentimentality and acknowledge that they may be viewed as shallow. The chorus repeats the notion that the singer is willing to give themselves physically, but they must part ways afterwards. They mention that they do not want to experience the loneliness they have felt before, implying that a temporary physical connection is better than none at all.
The second verse mentions the time wasted in shyness, and the singer's willingness to be held by their partner even without love. They express frustration at the idea of hearing pretty words that hold no real meaning, comparing them to bargain sales. The chorus repeats again, with the addition of the phrase "bye bye" to emphasize the finality of the relationship. The final lines repeat the idea that physical presence is necessary for connection, asking who will provide it if not their partner.
Overall, the song conveys a desire for physical connection without emotional attachment, and a frustration with empty words and the potential for loneliness.
