The lyrics to "Avalon" seem to describe the feeling of being exhausted after a party or event, but suddenly being rejuvenated by the presence of someone special. The opening lines "Now the party's over, I'm so tired" sets the scene, but then the focus shifts to the arrival of this mysterious person. The line "Then I see you coming out of nowhere" suggests that this person is unexpected, perhaps even a surprise. However, there is an unspoken connection between them, as the next line says "Much communication in a motion, without conversation or a notion". It's almost as if they don't need to speak to know what each other is thinking.

The next verse brings in more imagery about dancing - this time it's the "samba" and "bossanova", both Latin American styles. The lyrics suggest that dancing takes you to another place, away from the background and the distractions of everyday life. The line "And your destination, you don't know it" adds to the sense of uncertainty and excitement. The refrain of "Avalon, dancing, dancing" is like a chant, repeating the name of this mystical place that they are dancing towards.
