個人的にはこのロストマンはBUMP史上最高傑作だと思ってる。
PVやメロディの素晴らしさもさることながら、歌詞の世界観が抜群。めっちゃ良い。今でも歌詞カード片手に初めて曲を聴き終わった時に感じた、一つの物語を読み終えたようなあの満足感は忘れられない。勿論この満足感は終盤に盛り上がりをみせてくるメロディも相まってのことだとは思うけれども。
また、これはBUMPの多くの他の曲でも言えることだけれども、歌詞をじっくり読み込んでの考察も楽しい(例えば、「君」とは一体何なのか…等)。
まあ歌詞の解釈はなんであれ私は、未来に第一歩を踏み出す勇気みたいなものをこの曲からもらったと思う。
私もこの曲の「僕」のように「この選択は間違っていたのではないか…？」と後悔ばかりの人生を歩んできた。だからこそ、「僕」みたいに過去と決別して前を向いて歩きたいと思えた。
ユグドラシルは名盤だとよく聞くけれども、もしトリを飾る曲がロストマンではなかったのなら、名盤とは言われなかったのではないか。

子どもの頃は家族とかにBUMPの良さを分かってもらいたくて仕方なくて、
大人になった今思えば、すごく感情移入してたからBUMPを自分のことのように思ってて、
自分を見て欲しかったのかなって思う
こんなに好きなのに、2015年までしか追えてくて…何故かと考えたら、子どもを産んで、自分のことを考える余裕がなくなったからなのかも。
そして今こうして、またBUMPを聴き始めたのは、少し自分に余裕がでてきた証拠だと思う。聞き初めはロストマン。最高の曲だから！
