I used to have social anxiety. What helped me was working in restaurants and coffee shops and just completely immersing yourself in social situations until you realize that there is nothing to be scared of. I’m still shy around new people though, but made huge strides. You can do it :)

I will never forget the day I went into therapy one morning and my therapist showed me the song for the first time. I cried as I listened to it, as I took in it's message. Without any effort at all, I am beautiful as I am, and I shouldn't have to try and change any part of me for anyone else's approval. I should learn to love myself as I am. I've had so many therapists before this one in specific, and she was so helpful. She is a huge part of the reason why I am confident and I love myself the way I do now, and I will always be grateful for her. ❤

Here we are, listening to a song that urges us not to hate ourselves, and we have people comparing these women. I WISH songs like these could change the world, but the fact is that people will be mean whether you're natural, dolled up, or something in between. You just have to do what the hell you want to do, and say screw everyone else. Want to be bare-faced and not comb your hair? Do it, and be super confident!
