Baby Animals reformed in 2007 and released an acoustic CD of their hits entitled "Il Grande Silenzio" on January 19th 2008, as part of the Liberation Blue Acoustic Series. January 21st 2008 saw Liberation Records re-release their previous two albums ("Baby Animals" and "Shaved and Dangerous" remastered) as a 2 CD set, albeit missing the track "Big Time Friends". The band also toured Australia in January 2008 and appeared live on the Australian breakfast TV program "Sunrise" on January 22nd 2008.
On January 12th 2009 Baby Animals announced another Australian tour, playing 14 shows across Adelaide, Melbourne, Wollongong, Sydney, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast during April 2009. Frank Celenza resigned from the band only to reinstate himself two days later, and due to this and other internal conflicts DeMarchi & Leslie decided to continue the band with two hand-picked Sydney musicians, Matt Cornell (Bass/ Vocals) and Mick Skelton (Drums).
DeMarchi moved back home to Australia with children Bebe and Lorenzo in 2010 and the plan was for her husband, Bettencourt, to follow soon afterwards. The move never happened with Bettencourt sending an email saying the marriage was over. The breakup gave rise to the song E-Mail which features on the 3rd album This Is Not The End that was released in 2013.
The Baby Animals lineup behind that 3rd album now boasted a new line-up of Suze DeMarchi (Vocals/Guitar), Dave Leslie (Guitar/Vocals), Dario Bortolin (Bass/Vocals) and Mick Skelton (Drums). The album was a fast turnaround. After an intensive writing period, the band entered a two-week pre-production period. The recording stage at Sydney’s Blackfoot Studio was also relatively quick. This Is Not the End was cut in three weeks, and mixed-down in another two. The album was followed by an intense number of tour dates.
Baby Animals celebrated the 25th anniversary of the self-titled album in May 2016 with a concert in Melbourne and Sydney that featured both the current and original line-ups. The current line-up played songs off of the 2nd and 3rd albums, whilst the original lineup powered through end-to-end set of the self-titled album.
Make It End
Baby Animals Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Oh it seems to hang around just to threaten me
So I lose my head every now and then
But I still don't know how to make it end
Make it end gonna lock you out
I'm in Hell here without you
Checking out ain't no remedy, ooh please
It's just the thought of you that's driving me
So I said goodbye and you lost your mind
Turn the tables around now I'm losing mine
Make it end gonna lock you out
I'm in Hell here without you
Checking out ain't no remedy no, so ooh please
In "Make It End," Baby Animals' lead singer, Suze DeMarchi, sings about the pain of heartbreak and the difficulty of moving on from a past love. The opening line, "This silence is so loud it's deafening," perfectly captures the feeling of being alone and struggling to process complex emotions. Suze sings about how the silence seems to linger and threaten her - indicating that the silence is a representation of the memories and emotions that she is unable to escape from.
As the song progresses, Suze laments the memories that haunt her and confesses that she is unable to completely move on from her past love. She speaks of the noise in her memory, which is simply just her thoughts about her past lover. She then reflects on how she had to say goodbye to her past lover, which seemed to drive them to madness. This reflects how sometimes, ending a relationship can be incredibly difficult for both parties, even if it’s the right thing to do.
Overall, "Make It End" is a powerful song that speaks to the pain of heartbreak and the difficulty of moving forward. Suze's raw and emotional vocal delivery, alongside the song's stirring guitar work and driving beat, make for a cathartic listening experience.

One of the first concerts I went to was when my parents got us tickets to my childhood favorite Bryan Adams in Stockholm 1991. The hard rock band Baby Animals was the warm up act. I was blown away while my parents hated them. When I got the money to buy my first cd-player I also bought a couple of new cds. Completely by chance I came across their first cd. When I came home my parents was like : NOOOOOOOOOOO not Baby Animals! :-D Such a good band. Such good songs. Such good memories.
