One album on Germany's SPV label and several for the UK-based Delerium/Molten Records saw the band tour vigorously in Europe, but one day Lorenzo got tired of sitting behind the drums, so he embarked on a solo project he decided to call Baby Woodrose (named after the Hawaiian flower).
Lorenzo, playing all the instruments himself, recorded 15 songs in less than a week and released an album on his own label. Four years later, Baby Woodrose, now a trio, have released numerous 7" singles and 4 full-lengths (a live album and a full cover/tribute album) on the independent label Bad Afro Records.
In 2004, Baby Woodrose was nominated for a Danish Music Award (didn’t win it!). The band went on to win Danish National Radio’s most-sought-after award, the P3 Gold Award. Among several European tours were a much-talked-about appearance on Roskilde Festival’s main stage, a “not so good” drug bust in Norway, and collaborations with some of Scandinavia’s most-recognized rock bands.
Now in 2006, the trio are ready to release their most ambitious effort yet, the album "Love Comes Down." It will be released as a joint venture between the band's own label, Spinello, and Scandinavia's premier alternative-music distributor, Playground Music.
The album has been a long time coming, and we can now let you in on a little secret: Some sassy rock 'n' roll is on its way! The trio have expended their palette ever so slightly; this album features both sugar-sharp bubble-gum punk and the broken-man’s heartache on bitter skewers of citric acid!
It sounds as though it had been cut with the macabre precision of a surgeon with a buzz saw! The album was recorded in Copenhagen and Helsinki and was produced by German expatriate Jürgen Hendlmeier in the Land of the Thousand Lakes. Stone-cold, yet sexy and very contagious!
Reality
Baby Woodrose Lyrics

There's something I just can't understand
All the riches of the world
Could easily fill the mouths of every man
No crime, no hunger, no poverty
Beause of greedy little pigs
Trying to enslave the rest of our society
I don't believe in your concept of reality...
You think you choose
But all the time
There's something else buying into you
And the void inside you
Will make sure you'll never see
When your stupid politicians
Try to tell you who's your enemy...
Is your freedom
Really something worth fighting for?
With bombs and drones
In otherwise meaningless wars?
While they sell you fashion
Dope and dreams on TV
And love's just a word
You read about in tabloid magazines...
The lyrics to Baby Woodrose's song "Reality" express a sense of confusion and disillusionment with the world we live in today. The singer observes that if the world's resources were fairly distributed, there would be no crime, hunger, or poverty. However, he believes that this is not the case because of the greed of those in power, who seek to enslave society in order to accumulate wealth. He further expresses his disbelief in the concept of reality that they present to the public.
The singer also points out the futility of consumer culture and the way in which people are controlled by it. He observes that people think they are making choices, but in reality, they are being manipulated by larger forces. Furthermore, he suggests that people's inner emptiness prevents them from seeing this manipulation, and they are also being misled by politicians. The singer questions whether the freedom that people claim to value is worth fighting for, given the meaningless wars and other issues that are plaguing society. Finally, he criticizes the way that society sells fashion, drugs, and meaningless fantasies on TV, while love has become a cheap commodity in tabloids.
Overall, the lyrics of "Reality" reflect Baby Woodrose's disillusionment with modern society and its flaws, including materialism, greed, and apathy. The singer challenges people to wake up from their stupor and question the status quo, rather than simply accepting it.

I'm surprised this kinda went through the resurgence of Stoner and Psych Rock, without getting much fanfare. I mean holy hell, few bands use the 60s song writing recipes, and manage to slap so heavy. and not sound generic. One giveaway of the songwriting of this stuff being damn good imo is how can listen to a song, not know it, and by the second chorus you're singing along.
