Sledgehammer
Bachman-Turner Overdrive Lyrics

For days I have tried to forget you
And not care where you are
No matter where you are

But fables are not made from memories
I got to try to find
A way to ease my mind

You're like a sledgehammer
Clickin', clickin', on my mind
You're like a sledgehammer baby
You been beating on my mind

You're like a sledgehammer
You been sneakin' all the time, wow
You're like a sledgehammer baby
You been beating on my mind

For nights I have gone without sleeping
I wonder where you are
I wonder where you are

But I must build my castle with daydreams
And watch 'em fade away
Watch 'em fade away

You're like a sledgehammer
You been beating on my mind
You're like a sledgehammer baby
Always hitting from behind

You're like a sledgehammer baby
You been sneakin' all the time, wow
You're like a sledgehammer baby
Always hitting on my mind

You're like a sledgehammer baby
Always hitting on my mind
You're like a sledgehammer baby
Always hitting from behind

BTO's  "Not Fragile" just happens to be one the very véry best hard rock albums that have ever been produced! Ever! It got me goin' through a hard time in the big city way back in '79.... Still love it as much as then.... So sad they split up....

Paul Snyder

Dont be sad,its still there,
Let it motivate you, rock on
To me it's like medicine, I take 2 times a day,after I eat!

Tina Foster

It is a classic rock classic xx

That opening riff is just enough to send chills up my spine and if that is not enough, Fred Turner's vocals just split my head in 2!!!!

SV Wenger i,v looked for this very where my older brother was a big B,T,O fan his wife ad this played at his funeral it was brilliant. The priest nearly shit when Fred opens up

Guiding Star

Listening to this makes me wonder if AC/DC was influenced by them, especially the guitar solos.

Fredrik Almroth

your right about that!

DV DODDS

Fred Turner is so underrated.....Canada's resident screamer...and the guy can still wail and play a mean Bass Guitar to this day as he approaches his mid 70's

John Adams

Heard him sing couple years ago and his voice is better and still amazing at his age...unbelievable!

A Long time ago, in a state far far away, I first heard this on vinyl, (and I still have it too)  I LOVE IT!  It just takes me back to simple fun time.
