In the song "Mismo Que Yo" by Bacilos, the singer is asking their love interest to open up to them about their feelings. They want to hear it again and again because they want to believe it's real. The singer wants to know how strong their love is, and if it will last. Even when it's hard to find the right words to say, the singer wants to know that their love interest thinks about them and desires to be with them beyond just physical attraction or addiction. They want to know that their love interest considers them as an essential part of their heart, beyond the skin level. The singer encourages their love interest to express their feelings through their eyes, skin, and hands, in writing, or even when they are apart.
The song portrays the importance of communication in a love relationship. In a world where words can be misinterpreted or misunderstood, expressing feelings can sometimes be difficult for some people. However, the song encourages partners to try and express themselves in different ways, even if it’s not in words. It sets the tone for healthy communication which is key to a long-lasting relationship.
