En el silencio
Cuando estoy solo
Te siento llegar
Vienes aun
Entre las sombras
Odio el silencio
Odio el miedo a pensar
Si pudieras escuchar
Lo que dice tu voz
Si pudieras conocer
A Quien dejaste en mi corazón
Marcas de rencor
En el silencio
Escucho tu voz
Cuando estoy solo
Te siento regresar
En el silencio
Escucho tu voz
Cuando estoy solo
Cuando todos se van
Donde estarás
Donde te encuentro
Tal vez mirarte me ayude a escapar
Una mujer simple y serena
Siempre es mas fácil que ver hacia atrás
Si pudieras escuchar
Lo que dice tu voz
Si pudieras conocer
A Quien dejaste en mi corazón
Marcas de rencor
En el silencio
Escucho tu voz
Cuando estoy solo
Te siento regresar
En el silencio
Escucho tu voz
Por eso es que Odio el silencio
Por eso es que Odio estar solo
Y cuando salgo del barco
Cuando miro hacia el mar
Y las horas, las horas, las horas, las horas
Y las olas, las olas, las olas
En "Odio Al Silencio," Bacilos explores the theme of loneliness and the ways in which the memories of a past love can haunt a person. The first verse sets the stage for this theme, as the singer hears the voice of his lost love in the silence and feels her presence. He hates the silence and the fear of thinking that comes with it, indicating that it's difficult for him to be alone with his thoughts.
The second verse delves deeper into the pain caused by the memory of a lost love. The singer imagines what it would be like if his former partner could hear the pain in his voice and understand the impact she had on his heart. The reference to "marcas de rencor" (marks of resentment) suggests that the relationship did not end well and that he still harbors negative feelings towards his former lover.
The chorus emphasizes the power of memory and how it can become a constant presence for someone who has lost a loved one. Even in the silence, the singer hears his lost love's voice, begging the question of whether he will ever be able to move on. The final lines of the song, "las horas, las horas, las horas, las horas / y las olas, las olas, las olas," evoke a sense of endlessness and repetition, suggesting that the singer's feelings of loneliness and heartbreak have become cyclical and never-ending.
