The bridge was never designed to withstand the stresses of a train. Problems here will be continuous.

It was actually designed FOR train transit, sound transit just opted to lease it to WSDOT for interstate express lane travel

@@brownthunder999 I-90 is an interstate highway. The bridges are owned and maintained by WSDOT. The HOV lanes are being retrofitted to accommodate train travel, and it is a completely novel experiment.
